MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2 Swatches & Review
MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2 continues the Nicki Minaj Viva Glam campaign which gives 100% of the sale price towards women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
It’s limited edition (through August) and features a new Lipstick and Lipglass.

Both of these are a pale pastel lavender pink shade. The lipstick is an amplified finish, and the gloss has some slight sparkle to it.
I can tell ya, this lipstick shade isn’t easy to wear at all! It’s very pastel and pale. Definitely not a look for someone looking to blend in. 
The Lipglass is more wearable and subtle. Not as pastel or whitened looking, but it does do a lot of lip settling.

Overall: Love the idea of both shades, and what they look like in the tubes. However, the lipstick is definitely a hard to wear shade.

I don’t see that looking great on anybody but miss Minaj… it’s suck a difficult colour. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s not something anybody could wear. Let alone to any occasion, but… it is a very pretty colour…
I tried the lipstick in store and it actually looks awesome on me. I think because my lips are naturally almost cherry red so the lipstick applies very pinky for me.
so…I think it would work for those with very pigmented lips.
If I bought the duo I think it would be just to collect..not wear. Well maybe the lip glass as that seems more forgiving.

i normlly try to get the new viva glams because its a god cause, even if i wouldnt wear it everyday.. but i dont think i would pull this one off at all!

I’m quite pale and super cool toned so this shade was decent in indoor light. In natural or fluorescent light it was a little bold. In a pinch I actually ended up mixing it with MAC Cremesheen Gloss in Deelight and it ended up really nice.

These are just a fail for me, I can’t imagine they’d look good on anyone without being mixed with something else!

I’m honestly ready for them to find a new mascot for Viva Glam. They keep coming out with colors that are really hard to wear! I’d love to support the campaign, but it’s got to be something I’ll get use out of.

I love the whole idea behind the MAC Viva Glam, but this really is not a flattering color.

I actually bought both of these simply because I love Nicki Minaj and I do wear them but I have to layer them with something. I can’t wear them alone. I love the cause and will keep buying whatever colors they come out with but I do wish these were a little more wearable.

I always try and pick up the new Viva Glam items, but there was no way that lipstick was coming home with me! I did get the lipglass and since my lips are pretty pigmented it looks decent. Mostly adds a bit of sparkle.
This only looks good (depends on what your definition of ‘good’ is) on Nicki. Everyone else looks like a hoochie momma.

It’s very disappointing to me that they made such a hard to wear shade for charity. You would think they would make it more wearable so they would sell more.
good way to use the lipgloss is to use it over a too coral lipstick. If your coller toned and have issues pulling off coral, adding the lilac gloss will pull it back into a neutral wearable coral. More dimensional too.

Ugh! Usually the viva glams are wearable colours that are to look good on most skin types! This is ugly and something that well only nikki minaj would really wear haha!
These are sooo pretty in the tubes, but on the lips, they look very unwearable unless you layer and blend with other shades. I could never pull these off, so they won’t be coming home with me. Awesome swatches, Kelly!
Definitely a celebrity/hollywood shade but not promising for real life!
