Hard Candy Candy Sprinkles Nail Lacquer Collection Swatches and Review
Hard Candy has released 45 new nail lacquers exclusively at Walmart and I’ve got a plethora of swatches coming your way!
First up is the Hard Candy Candy Sprinkles Collection. Candy Sprinkles is comprised of eight new shades, mostly sweet looking pastels filled with glitter.
On the Hard Candy press release this collection is described as clear polish with colored glitter suspended inside, to be used as a top coat. That’s definitely incorrect. These polishes are not clear, they each have a nicely pigmented base (all just two coats) and are filled with different colors of small hex and round glitter.
Pink Taffy is a bright pink with pink, white, silver and blue glitter.
Pixie Pink is actually more of a very pale lavender base with pink, blue and silver glitter. I love this one, it’s one of my favs here.
Cocoa Smore has a light taupe base with black, grey and silver glitter.
Peach Pop is a medium peach with pink, orange, pink and silver glitter.
Sugar Rush has a white base and dark blue, grey and silver glitter.
Jelly Bean Blue has a light blue base and dark blue, medium blue and grey glitter. Another of my favs.
Cotton Candy Pink is a light pink with periwinkle, silver and deep blue glitter. Another fav!
Gummy Green is a cool mint green with black, grey and silver glitter. Another fav!
Overall: You may have heard me say before I am not really much of a glitter nail polish fan and that’s true. However I have to say I really love these. The base shades along with the colors of hex glitter inside them is just perfect! Not only that, they aren’t so thick or sticky that it isn’t easy to work with them. You get a good amount of glitter with each stroke and it stays in place. Just two coats is all you need.
Also I didn’t mention, I really like these bottles, even though they are smaller than their previous ones.
Availability: Walmart only (they are rolling out now so keep checking your local store!)
Pricing: $3.97 for 0.26 oz.
Soooooooo I wanna know! What do you think of these? Which ones will you be hunting down?
-Kelly
Note: Hard Candy is cruelty free.
Do you like this product?

I’m definitely interested in these!

I’m not a big fan of glitters either, not sure how I feel about these. I like Peach Pop and Pink Taffy, though.
Peach Pop, Jelly Bean Blue and Gummy Green so cute
Cocoa Smore, Peach Pop and Gummy Green are my favs!

Ooh those bottles are tiny
I WANT THEM ALL! I hope they’re all available online soon because Walmart is a crapshoot.
Peach Pop looks really pretty to me. Warm and summery.

Love many of the combinations! I’ll definitely pick many of these up!

It’s interesting to me that Hard Candy named these the Sprinkles collection when Nails Inc already had one. And that some of the colors look exactly the same as the Nails Inc ones.

Well this one is called Candy Sprinkles and Nails Inc is just Sprinkles I think. I don’t think I ever reviewed any of the Nails Inc ones.
I noticed this too. I have a couple of the Nails Inc ones. They’re very nice!
Yep Jamie. The Nails Inc polishes was exactly what I thought.
Oh yeah. There’s some good stuff here. Not all of it is 100% original, but still. I’m all about Gummy Green. Haven’t been in a WalMart in like a year; I will have to stop in soon and try to scoop some of these up!
While I really love all of the new finishes that Hard Candy is releasing, I’m kinda wary of their new smaller bottles. They kept the price the same but are offering less product :/

I agree. I bought one and brought it home only to figure out that it’s even less than the original Wet n Wild Mega Last bottles before they redesigned them and made them bigger.
I think the formula might chip more quickly than the previous Hard Candy polish also.
I couldn’t find the Nails Inc. in my area so a couple of these look like good dupes.
NEED Gummy Green. It looks like mint chip ice cream! Ok so maybe I need all of these. LOVE milky glitters!

Pixie pink!!!!! I’m coming for you!! Thanks for swatching these! I always wanted the Nails Inc Sprinkles collection, but never wanted to shell out the $9-$10 for a glitter polish… (Learned my lesson after a few barely used $9 polishes sit in my collection). Pixie pink looks just like one from that sprinkles collection.
I love those!
I think Cocoa Smore is near-identical to one of the Nails Inc Sprinkles I have.
These are all so pretty, especially Pink Taffy. Shame I can’t get any in my country!

I love these, I hope they show up on the website soon! I am super excited about the entire new Hard Candy nail polish lineup.

I just bought a few of these today and I love them!
i’m surprised how different Pixie Pink looks compared to the promo photo. In the promo pic there looks to be purple glitter instead of the teal in a brighter pink base
Love the Cotton Candy one! I’m sad that Hard Candy did away with so many products, ut at the same time I’m excited for new ones!

Hmmm…I thought I would like these, but they don’t do anything for me. The one I like the most is cotton candy pink or pixie pink. Not sure I like them enough to buy them though.
Can’t say I like any of these! They all feel too childish

Hmmm, not really anything I’m interested in. I was expecting something else.

I picked up Jelly Bean, Crush on Caribbean and Pee Wee Purple today. I was thrilled by the speckles – I love the way the Illamasqua ones look, but I really do hate spending that much on a single polish! And given that I pretty much never use one up, I don’t even mind the bottles are smaller!
After seeing the promo shots for this collection I am so excited, I plan to pretty much get them all
Seriously, cannot wait for these!

I am going to have to scurry eBay for these !!
Thank you for reviewing these, Kelly! My local Walmart had a full display but I wasn’t sure which ones I really liked in the bottles (vs on the nail). These pictures are very helpful!
I did purchase Jelly Bean Blue, and I have a question for you: how did these wear? I have had it on for less than 48 hours, with a top coat, and have had severe chipping. I’m not sure if it’s user error or an issue with the polish, and I’d appreciate your insight!
I haven’t worn them longer than it took to swatch but for me, wear is kind of irrelevant because it’s typically 1-2 days for me, no matter the brand or polish type.
Fair enough!
I’m not normally a fan of milky glitters, but these are really interesting. Great swatches!

Reminds me of the Nails Inc sprinkle collections which I loved, only with more colors and choices and less expensive! Weeeee! I hope my crappy wal-mart has these soon!
Definitely went to the good ole wal mart and they had the display with no products!
Super sad – will just have to check again!
while not really attractive, i find them intriguing, which is more interesting to me for nail polish. some of the the color names are really off the mark to me though(gummy green is off, cocoa smore is wrong color, even cotton candy isnt the right shade of pink…). these make me wanna just pour some glitter into a bottle of polish i already have.
These are so quirky but really cute

Yes, YES, YEEEEESSSSSSS!!! So glad to hear they aren’t just a top coat!! Seriously, you just made my lacquer dreams come true!!!
I really love these. And i’m glad you reviewed them first. I was awaiting your review of these out of your haul. Ugh, guess i’ll have to pick them up next time I have some extra cash.
Hmm, I’m not too sure about these. The only one that I think I’d buy is Gummy Green. The rest just aren’t doing anything for me.
Cute! Perfect for spring! I don’t have Hard Candy at my Walmart so hopefully these will be available online.
How is the dry time between each coat on these? Not more than 10 minutes hopefully?
No the dry time is like 2-3 minutes in-between thin coats.
These are gorgeous! Hopefully I can find some of these at my local Wal-Mart. The price point isn’t too bad either. They seem like a good polish with good consistency. I’ve actually never tried any Hard Candy polishes so I’m anxious to see if I can find some of these.

Pink Taffy looks like a cupcake with sprinkles on it. I want it! <3
I like all of these. Some of them remind me of Nails Inc. and some remind me of Illamasqua. I already own one of each of the Nails Inc and Illamasqua ones so when I go to buy these Hard Candy ones I will just get a different color. I don’t care if some people think they are childish looking; I think they are fun. It’s just nail polish!
I really, really love Peach Pop. It looks like the perfect summer beach color. I despise Walmart but that polish alone is worth taking the trip.

For the price I think I’d pick up a bottle or two for fun. I really like the peach and minty green ones. They’d be great colors for spring and summer.

Yet another trend that I want to like but don’t. I don’t know what is wrong with me this year but I don’t like any of the current nail trends. Milky glitters always end up looking teenager-ish to me, and the ones with more sophisticated colors look a bit diseased. :/
Woohoo!
I love milky glitters! I think these look super fun! Can’t wait to buy… Them all, possibly.
Thanks for the review!
Pink Taffy reminds me of Revlon’s ‘Girly’. Definitely not a dupe, Girly has blue, purple, red an pink glitter in it. I just love all the new pastels this sping . It’s frustrating though, cause it’s still snowing here in Buffalo, so it just doesn’t feel right to put them on yet. I’m still rocking China Glaze’s Bitz and Pieces over dark blue and emerald colors – more winter appropriate. God I hate snow! lol
I saw the whole display of new HC polishes at Walmart today and I had SIX of these Sprinkles polishes in my cart. And I PUT THEM BACK! After seeing your swatches, I regret it. I hope they’re there the next time I go. They had some nice duochromes too! I can’t wait til they expand the line more.
These are making me second guess my need for the new (much more expensive) Illamsqua creamy pastel ones…hmm….
Wow! I hadn’t been a fan of these pastel creme glitter polishes until I saw this. I saw them on the display at the store but passed on them. Now I must go back and get Gummy Green and Pixie Pink. I really like how they look!!
I saw these and I don’t live close to a WalMart since I live in Santa Monica, CA. Luckily I emailed the colors I wanted to my mom and she bought 2 of each of the ones I liked! She’s mailing me 10 bottles in the next few days, SO EXCITED! They are sold out at walmart.com and I’ve seen some as high as $10 a bottle on Ebay! MADNESS!!
Grabbed the Gummy Green last week. Just put it on and i want pretty much all of them now. My only complaint is, man..gummy indeed.Might have gotten a bad bottle but it got thick really fast. Did work around it though. Thanks for all your hard work for helping me reach 300 polishes
