Flower Kiss Stick High-Shine Lip Color Swatches & Review
Flower is a new makeup collection from Drew Barrymore and is exclusive to Walmart. Wanna know their philosophy?
You no longer have to spend a lot of money to get the quality cosmetics you want and deserve.
How do we do it? We do not pay for advertising. Where other beauty brands spend a vast percentage of the cost of their products on ads, we do not. Drew, as an owner of the brand, takes pride in promoting Flower, which in turn allows us to put all of our resources into the formulas and packaging, and not into advertising.
Custom-formulated with the same ingredients used in luxury make-up, our exclusive botanical-infused Soft-Focus Complex illuminates for a lit-from-within effect.
All products are proudly made in the USA and are never tested on animals.
Pretty cool huh? I went to a couple Walmarts searching for this line and finally found a fully stocked display (at Martinez in case anyone in the Bay Area wants to know). I had a really hard time choosing what to get though. I wound up getting four of these lip shades, four of another kind, some nail polishes, some eye liners and some cream shadows. I’ll be reviewing everything soon!
Right now I have four of the Kiss Stick High-Shine Lip Colors to go over, and I think you are going to like what you see…
The tubes are kind of cool because they are different colors, depending on which finish of lip color you are getting. The High-Shine Lip Colors are in black tubes with rose gold accents. I like that the bottom of the Lip Colors are see-through, so you can see the actual product shade.
Aside from figuring out which ones to buy, the hardest part was finding ones that hadn’t been opened by those loathsome people who feel the need to open and destroy products in the store. Why does Walmart seem to have the worst of this problem?

Sweet Peony, Tulips 2 Kiss You!, Rose Bud, Petunia Petals

Sweet Peony, Tulips 2 Kiss You!, Rose Bud, Petunia Petals
These are pretty creamy and do feel nicely moisturizing (they contain emollient oils for moisture and shine). They have really nice pigmentation and no weird taste. There is a slight flowery scent that I detect, but it’s really mild.
Sweet Peony is a peachy pink.
Tulips 2 Kiss You! is a blue-based medium pink.
Rose Bud is a cool-toned bright red. Intense.
Petunia Petals is a bright warm fuchsia pink.
Overall: Well I am really glad I chose these shades because I love every single one. Not only are the shade options nice, they feel like higher end lipsticks. Pigmented, moisturizing, long-lasting and shiny. Good stuff!
Their website is kind of cool, here you can see Drew testing and swatching the products as they go through development.
Availability: Walmart and Walmart.com only.
Pricing: $6.98 for 0.12 oz.
Now I wanna know, have you tried anything from this brand yet? Interested in any of these?
Stay tuned for my swatches next of the Kiss Sticks Velvet Lip Colors.
-Kelly
Note: Flower is cruelty free.

I’m not a fan Of the packaging, but the lipsticks look nice. For all the hype around Flower, I haven’t read much about the products – looking forward to the rest of your reviews!

I really like Petunia Petals, but nothing is worth going into a Walmart.
Bingo.
I remember reading and interview with Drew in InStyle a while ago when she talked about this line and I have been curious since. Thank you so much for showing some of the lipsticks. I’m quite excited now, hope they’re also out at Walmarts here in Canada…

I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but I’m liking the price and the colors look gorgeous. I’m going to try to find these today. Being a pasty white chick, I think Sweet Peony would be perfect.
BTW my local Walmart is decent and doesn’t seem to have the same problems with people trashing the cosmetics.
You are lucky! There are some around here better than others, but the makeup area always seems to get the worse of it in general.
So, far I really like the lip products and cream blush from the line. I took the foundation and eye shadow quad back. I had Face the Grey quad, and found them difficult to work with and the liquid foundation was just not great.

Wow! Sounds like a make-up line I need to try. I’m taking a liking to Sweet Peony. Can’t wait to see the rest of your swatches
I’ve been wondering about the lipsticks. Will have to try some!

Cute! I adore Drew Barrymore, she seems so nice. Can’t wait to see more swatches! The lipstick swatches are really pretty. Also, my Walmart is the same way. My mom picked me up a new Maybelline color that I wanted to try from their new Vivids line, and when I pulled the cap off to try it…it was already swatched! Ugh.
I’ve been dying to try some things from this line but have yet to come across them in my local Walmart stores. I’m keeping my eyes peeled though cause they seem really great and the colors are beautiful.

I like Sweet Peony. I don’t think the others would look good on me at all.
Nice she’s being all ethical/made in the US/not tested in animals, but I’m sorry, then don’t sell them only at Walmart. That kills it for me. I don’t care how nice your colors are, I refuse to support Walmart.
The red one is lovely, though.

I found a display in Oakland, but it was only half. It had all the lip colors though

I was SHOCKED when I saw the full display at the Martinez Walmart; they rarely get anything good or in a timely manner. (It’s the nearest Walmart to me, so it’s constantly disappointing.) I definitely want to try Petunia Petals – it’s gorgeous!
I did get the Sheer Up Lip Tint in Airy Orchid, and I LOVE it. Very similar to the Revlon Balm Stains and similar products, but nicer, I thought.

I was too actually! I went to the one in Fairfield first just because I was up there, and the display was out but there wasn’t a single piece in it yet. But all of the other makeup displays were like 80-90% empty also. Weird.
First of all, I LOVE all the pictures you do and that you try things out where they belong (on your lips instead of just your wrist)!
I am going to have to make a special trip to walmart to try this brand. It looks to be worth it!
As a red lipstick hoarder, I NEED ROSE BUD! So beautiful. I don’t live anywhere near a Walmart, however. *sigh*
Thanks for the review, Kelly!
Ohh I love all these too! I personally would pass on the blue pink because that just isn’t too flattering on me but I really want to get the other three. Love their philosophy, too

These are really pretty. They look great on and definitely could rival some high end brands that are double and triple the price. I think she’s a great actress and I hope her cosmetic line does extremely well.
My Wal-Mart (the one that I have closest to me) is like yours. It’s a mess at times. They seem to get new products in at a decent time frame but it’s such a hassle to go through items that haven’t been opened or touched.

I’ve really been loving drugstore lip products lately so I’m definitely going to look for these!
They all look great! My favourite is petunia petals.
So bad is only available at walmart!

I am interested in trying these… however, I loathe Walmart with a fiery passion that burns deep in my sole and feel immediate range and anxiety when shopping there. So I don’t know if it will ever happen, lol.

Sweet Peony and Petunia Petals are gor-ge-ous! I thought these were going to be expensive, but I am pleasantly surprised!!
They all look great!
Rose Bud is lovely.

I’ve yet to venture into Walmart to look for these, but I’m interested in checking out the brand!

They look pretty but big pass on Walmart exclusives.
I have tried the Lip Service Lip Butter and liked them but I think I would love these WAY more. I also have one of the Creme Shadows and really love it. I need to grab these when I finally see them in-store. I bought mine online because I’m impatient

I got Rose Bud last month and love it! Normally rose colors are an ugly mauve color, but this actually is rose bud colored! It’s a gorgeous red. really think it is a great new brand.
i just love the way petunia petals looks on you!
I’ve been loving many products from this new line, especially the bb cream and the lip butter.

i’m so glad theres a new line on the market, and another cruelty free option in the sea of every other cosmetic company. i’d say these are definately worth checking out, and that red is to die for!
I was very curious about the launch of Drew’s makeup line. It all looks great and I love her philosophy. I love the lipstick in Sweet Peony and the price is excellent. Just wondering if this will be successful and if so: will more celebs follow suit?

I really hate when I see that people have destroyed a makeup product…but I also don’t want to buy one that has been swatched at all…BUT if I dont know I will swatch it. I dont know if its up to the makeup company or the store but I would think they would attempt to have sample that can be swatched. Of course since from looking the makeup that people do destroy instead of just swatching the would have to have someone over there to regulate things but I def would think that redoing the way there makeup department is would makeup for all the money they lose with the destroyed makeup!
