Too Faced Air Buffed BB Creme Complete Coverage Makeup SPF 20 Swatches & Review

Too Faced Air Buffed BB Creme

New this spring from Too Faced are five shades of their Air Buffed BB Crème Complete Coverage Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20.

Yep more BB Cremes! This time they come in a “tub” with a super cute and convenient air-buff brush (Teddy Bear Hair blend of course) that snaps into the top! I have to say I love this idea. A lot.

This BB Crème is a cream to powder formula that brightens, conceals and provides build-able coverage. It treats, perfects, mattifies and primes and protects with SPF 20. Inside you’ll find rose fruit which is supposed to help refine pores and create the matte coverage (but not dry or chalky). There is also star leaf fruit to help moisturize, and rose myrtle to repair and prevent UV damage.

The shades available are:

  • Snow Glow – porcelain with pink undertone
  • Vanilla Glow – fair with golden undertone
  • Cream Glow – light beige with golden undertone
  • Linen Glow – medium beige with golden undertone
  • Nude Glow – warm beige with golden undertone

Unfortunately Snow Glow is too pale for me and Linen Glow too dark. I think I would probably be best suited to Vanilla Glow. Interestingly I am almost always the second to lightest shade in any line of foundation or BB Cream, no matter the brand!

I did briefly try out Snow Glow using the brush that comes with it. I just swirled it around into the product and buffed it into my face. From the short amount of time I wore it I could tell the following: It blends in nicely and fairly easily, it gives medium coverage, is build-able, and it does a nice job of hiding pores (like a primer).

Availability: Too Faced, Ulta, Sephora.

Pricing: $39.00 for 0.98 oz.

Are you going to try out this BB Crème?

A bit disappointed in the color rage, the lightest would probably be too light for me also but all the other shades have golden undertones which don’t usually work for me :(

Yeah I thought that was a little odd that they were all golden but one.

I have noticed this a great deal recently with drug store products, but you would think that higher end products would have more pink or cool undertones in their range.

Hmm interesting. I nvr thought I was too big of BB creams but I got a sample of the UD with a sephora order and actually really liked it. It’s nice this comes in multiple shades, I didn’t understand why UD only has that one. I’m not rushing out to get this but maybe I’ll get a sample to try out

I’ve been waiting to get this. From what I hear to far, this is pretty good. I’m actually going to pick 1 up from Sephora.

I was super excited to try these out! I swatched and applied to one cheek, but then decided it’s the wrong time of year to be looking for something with such a heavy coverage. I’ll probably check back next fall to see if I’m still interested.

I’m disappointed with the color range too, but because the lightest color would be a bit dark for me, I guess.
But the product looks so nice, I love the packaging!

    Hi,

On your legal page it says that ‘Vampy Varnish does accept monetarily compensated articles/reviews occasionally’. I couldn’t understand what it really means to me as a reader. Do you ever get paid for a product review? Or are there sponsored posts that are written and paid by the brands and labeled as ‘sponsored posts’? I’d be grateful if you can tell me how I can differentiate those in the site.

    Thanks!

Very occasionally (so far only twice) I have done a sponsored post which is clearly labeled as sponsored at the bottom. That just means they sent me a product for free, I reviewed it, and they paid me.

Yes I will get this as soon as its available! I read somewhere that Snow Glow is US only? I hope that’s wrong, I don’t remember where I read it. Snow Glow looks just right for me!

This one sounds interesting. I’m in the market for a new foundation or BB Cream; lately I’ve been hating all the foundations I own haha.

Vanilla Glow looks like it’d be more my shade, too. Hmm…but I doubt I’ll buy this because I need to work through (and finish) the rest of my face makeup. :)

I did not enjoy the way these applied. I need my BB in fluid form I suppose.

Was in Waikiki last week and saw you on the wet n wild display and I said (to no one) HEY I READ HER BLOG

Aww, it’s too bad that it’s too light (and too dark) for you. I picked up Snow Glow at IMATS and I do like the color a lot.

The fact that these are cream to powder is very appealing! The last thing I need is another base, but…;)

I love the packaging on this! I am currently using a Maybelline BB cream that I picked up about 2 weeks ago and i semi-love it. I like the feeling of it, and love that I can use one product to do multiple things, especially because I have pretty good skin. The only issue I’m finding with this particular one is that it doesn’t seem to stay put all day, and I don’t even have oily skin.

I have Snow Glow and like the color match, but I’m not sure about the texture – I have drier skin so cream-to-powder is tricky for me.
