Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm is brand spankin’ new and absolutely fabulous. No really, I am kind of blown away by how amazing it actually is.
But first some info about it.
Naked Skin Beauty Balm doesn’t just do one thing, it does like a million. Ok not really, but it DOES help blur fine lines, redness and pores (my biggest annoyance), it contains an SPF of 20 and also includes Pepha®-Protect, which helps inhibit DNA damage. It also works as an anti-aging product using Vitasource™ and dGyage® to help with elasticity and skin firmness. Also included inside is a primer, which makes it super blendable and smooth, and it’s also nicely moisturizing.
This oil-free BB Cream comes with a lot of claims too. In a clinical study of UD staffers and product testers who have tried it for 8 weeks this is what they claim:
- 93% had significantly firmer, more lifted skin
- 90% had significantly more radiant skin
- 84% had a significant improvement in fine lines
- Over 84% has significantly smoother and more hydrated skin
I would have to actually wear it every day for 8 weeks to see for myself if these claims are true for me…
Naked Skin Beauty Balm comes in one universal shade, which self adjusts to fit your skin tone (well most they say). I thought it looked too orange for me but was pleasantly surprised when I applied it and it blended right in. It contains light-diffusing spheres that also help with the “illusion” of perfect skin.
The texture of it is creamy and smooth. It’s so easy to apply (I used my fingers) and it really does seem to just melt into the skin. It most definitely blurred my pores and uneven areas of my face, which is the #1 reason I use a BB Cream. It feels super light and easy to wear. It actually feels like there is nothing whatsoever on my face. There is no scent at all either.
This is me wearing it over a moisturizer and that’s it! No air-brushing, Photoshopping or powder on my face at all here. I’m also wearing the new Flushed palette (review soon) as well as the new Flushed Lip Junkie shade.
Overall: Well I can say I really love this stuff! It does a great job of making my skin look really nice, but not covered with makeup. It feels very comfortable on my skin and I love that it also has SPF 20 in it. I think it’s my favorite BB Cream now. Great product!
