Question of the Week
Hello there, happy Friday!
Well winter is in full effect now, but you wouldn’t really know it just looking out the window here in the Bay Area. The last couple days it’s been really cold in the AM (20′s/30′s) but super sunny and clear. Blue skies abound!
Do you have a favorite winter-time activity?
I can’t say that I do considering winter here isn’t snowy or anything. I’ve never been skiing or snow-boarding or the like. The only thing I can think of is I cook a lot more slow-cooker meals during these months. And snuggle under blankets.

My favorite activity is… keeping warm. I am always cold and the winter just kills me. I don’t enjoy snow sports, so I just like to snuggle up with hot chocolate.

I do like ice skating, and I used to go snowboarding. This year (well, my skiing trip starts tomorrow) I’m going back to skiing after a 15 year break. In Switzerland, where I live, there are semi-mandatory school ski camps, so almost everybody who grows up in Switzerland learns skiing.
Wow that’s interesting! I guess it makes sense if you live somewhere where it snows that heavily.
In Winter I usually read more than I do in any period of the year. Firepit, blankets, a cup of tea and tons of books on my bedside table. Snow in the outside, of course!

We pushed our fireplace into the wall and sheet-rocked over it because it was in a really weird place in our living room, and we couldn’t put a TV or anything on that wall. We hardly ever used it but when it’s really pouring rain out, I kinda miss it.
I have nothing to like about winter. It’s cold, it’s tenses up my muscles and joints, and I hate bundling up. I hate winter sports and I just wanna live in warm weather year-round.

I love winter, I really do. I know, I must be strange. I used to snowboard when I lived in the mtns. but haven’t done it in years. My current favorite winter time activities would be getting to wear things like warm slippers, Uggs, & sweatshirts and drinking hot chocolate. We don’t get cold weather often in San Diego! Today’s high is 55. That’s cold for us, lol.
Yeah I do like busting out with the fuzzy boots, heavy sweaters and actually I enjoy wearing coats also. But on a very limited basis.
Winter activity? What is that? I prefer to sleep untill the sun comes back.

I *always* overeat in winter. Something about the cold brings out the chocoholic in me…
So that’s one activity. Combination of eating chocolate and reading.
I also really used to like ice-skating, but at the moment my main winter activity is the same as my main year-round-activity — running.
Even in the -22 C weather we’re having!

My favorite winter activity is drinking Venti Gingerbread Lattes from Starbucks, hahaha! I’m sad they’re gone now. I like fires, too–so cozy and good-smelling.
Haha, I live in Canada, but I don’t care for the winter! So, probably my favourite winter activity is drinking festive lattes from Starbucks!
