Estee Lauder Coral Cult Estee Lauder Heavy Petals Nail Lacquer Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Coral Cult

Coral Cult is a coral creme. Obviously. I happen to love this shade with my skin tone, it’s just pink enough and not too warm or orange for me. It does apply a little on the thin and watery side, but I only used two coats here. A wee bit uneven, but not bad. Very pretty shade.

Estee Lauder Narcissist Estee Lauder Heavy Petals Nail Lacquer Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Narcissist

Narcissist is a pale pink pastel. It’s not a “Pepto” pink, but softer. This one was the most uneven in terms of application of the collection. I managed to get it pretty even with three thin coats.

Estee Lauder Dilettante Estee Lauder Heavy Petals Nail Lacquer Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Dilettante

Dilettante is a medium turquoise blue creme. Not a sky blue, just the right combination of blue and green. This one too was a wee bit streaky and I used two coats, but perhaps could have done three for better coverage.

Estee Lauder Lilac Leather Estee Lauder Heavy Petals Nail Lacquer Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Lilac Leather

Lilac Leather is a soft lilac creme. Pretty shade, it definitely borders on pink depending on the lighting. Another one that was a bit uneven. This was two coats.

Estee Lauder Absinthe Estee Lauder Heavy Petals Nail Lacquer Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Absinthe

Absinthe is bright yet somewhat muted yellow-green. This is my favorite shade in this collection not only because I love this shade, but also because it was the best formula. There wasn’t a streak in sight, and it covered beautifully in two coats.

Overall: This definitely gets me in the mood for spring, but not everything came up roses (cue groans). I think the best and most interesting shades in terms of formula and color are Coral Cult and Absinthe. Next up is Dilettante, then Lilac Leather and Narcissist.

Availability: Nordstrom, Macy’s, Estee Lauder.

Pricing: $20.00 for .3 oz.

See anything here that you would fork over $20 for?

I think they are all very pretty but the one that stands out to me is Absinthe! It looks like the perfect semi-edgy but still wearable green. I don’t own anything like it and I think I might need to fork out the $20 for this one actually! Thanks for beautiful swatches as always! :)

I’m completely in love with Absinthe but Estée Lauder nail polish chips on me within a couple of hours. Hopefully some other brand comes out with a similar color this spring.

What a pretty, springy collection! Don’t know if I’d want to pay $20/polish, but I do love those colours!

  • Absinthe is the winner for me out of this bunch, but still more than I would want to pay.

  • I really like the colors in the collection as a whole, but only Coral Cult cues my interest. It’s the perfect orange coral.

  • I like how these are a bit more saturated than a lot of the pastels I’m seeing for Spring. and the coral is TDF! :)

Beautiful colors but i can not fathom spending $20 on one single polish. I had a hard enough time asking my mom to spend $18 on a NARS polish for me for Christmas!

absinthe is good, but would probably never spend that much on nail polish since i dont wear it that much.

  • I like coral cult and can see Dilettante being popular. Nothing too special, in my opinion – but I also don’t really wear pastels… if you love pastels, this is probably a dream collection

  • I feel like there are comparable dupes in other lines for cheaper but I really like Coral Cult the most (coming from a girl that loves anything pink). My second favorite would be Dilettante. I like that it’s not an over the top bright spring blue, but it looks more muted.

I do like some of the colors but I feel I could get something very comparable for a lot less. Plus I don’t like the fact that Estee Lauder does animal testing. So they are definitely a no go for me. I love your blog and swatches though as always.
