butter LONDON Sweetie Shop Bespoke Collection Official Info & Photos

butter LONDON Sweetie Shop

butter LONDON has a new spring 2013 collection out now featuring six new pastel shades.

Looks like prices have gone up a bit as well to $15 per bottle…What do you think about these shades and the pricing for them?

Nothing impressive here. These all look like colors I already have from last spring when all the pastels came out. I was already balking at spending $14 for Butter London polish and was getting them when they went on special at ULTA. I am NOT spending $15 a bottle when I can find drugstore dupes for less than $7. I like the name Kerfluffle it makes me giggle and its fun to say.

I hate it when nail polish prices go up. They are really pretty pastels but it’s something we’ve already seen. The only one I would be willing to shell out $15 for is probably the green one and for the price I expect an excellent formula.

Ooh – does this mean swatches are coming soon for this collection? I don’t know how many sets bL sends out to bloggers for review (or whether it sends out sets for review), but I can’t find swatches anywhere. The colors don’t look too unique, though I’m drawn to Molly Coddled and Cuppa.

As for the price increase, it mainly annoyed me because I was waiting until after the holidays to use a zappos gift card, and by the chance I was able to use the gift card for some older bLs, the price had gone up for all of them (zappos doesn’t even have the Sweetie Shop collection yet). -___-

Underwhelmed by the colors (not unique, even if expected for Spring) and the price hike. I do have one or two bottles that I absolutely love (Victoiriana comes to mind) but the formula can be hit or miss which is unacceptable to me at this price point.

Pretty, but nothing new re:colors, & it’s too bad their prices have increased. It seems like the nail polish market is becoming supersaturated; with many new indie brands & more marketing using celebrities, and TV shows like Modern Family. Very competitive, indeed.

These are pretty, but nearly identical to Zoya’s Spring shades. I suspect we’ll see a lot of this sort of thing come Spring!

As a seamstress I have to complain about their use of the word bespoke. For a moment my interest was piqued thinking they were offering create-your-own polishes. I can’t imagine a big-name company ever doing that for real, but hey. Bespoke means made to order… the *customer’s* order. Claiming the colors are bespoke is just plain stupid… of course they were made to Butter LONDON’s order, the same as every other polish they work with a lab in creating… and none of those colors is touted as bespoke.
Also, $15 per bottle is getting to be wayyy to much.
    Okay, rant over.

I have to correct myself, *are touted, not is.
And I guess they have mentioned bespoke collections before (which makes sense on their collaborations with celebrities), though I’m not remembering it in the press images?? I dunno. It still annoys me. *sigh*

They look pretty, but as others have already stated, they’re nothing special. All of the colors look pretty dupe-able, and I draw the line at $8 for a polish unless I can’t find anything like it.

Meh. Seems like an easily dupable collection with colors made by much cheaper brands.

So far, all I’ve seen for spring is pastel collections. I really hope another company comes out with something interesting, because pastels get a big yawn from me. My wallet wouldn’t mind though, hehe. ;-)

I’d be interested in seeing the brown and orange, but otherwise I’d pass. The price is SO high but I guess it’s profitable, people must be willing to pay that or they wouldn’t be in business still

The pastels are like others on the market – for less. And their new pricing is ridiculous for the formula. No thanks from me.

The colors are pretty, but nothing I’ll be picking up since I’m not a huge fan of pastels. As always, I love the names that BL has chosen for the polishes.
Since it’s only a $1 price increase, I don’t find it that worriesome. Sure, I hate price increases as much as the next person, but it won’t stop me from buying the more unique colors that BL sometimes releases.
