    Oh! Gorgeous! I love them!

There’s a blue Morpho butterfly species native to atlantic forests here where I live, in South of Brazil.
One of my fondest childhood memories was to spot HUGE specimens floating around the forests near my grandmother’s country house. :)

Yes, they do float, they are enormous they only flap their wings once in a while, very gracious. Too bad they’re endangered and only live in preserved forests, my mother sold the country house and I only saw one again while hiking in the mountain range forests.

Could you imagine being out in the wild and having a rabble of butterflies like this just floating around? (heh new word for me–that’s what you call a “bunch of butterflies”)

I’ve been in butterfly houses and it is just so…..amazing. Especially when they land on you!
