What’s On Your Nails?
Hey there!
I just wanted to check in and see what you are wearing on your nails today. Are you done up all holiday-style with red, green or gold, or are you bucking the season and going with something non-traditional?
For me my nails are super short and bare because of my thumb injury. Hopefully I can get back to swatching nail polish next week though. Stitches come out on Monday!

I’m wearing a glitter gradient with Sinful Colors – Snow Me White as the base & Essie – Stroke of Brilliance for the gradient!
Currently, nothing. Was planning on painting them last night, but then I discovered a splinter UNDER my fingernail (I pulled the part out that was visible, but it broke and left a piece about 1/2cm underneath my nail.) I have no idea how I even got a splinter under there in the first place, as I sit at a desk all day and went shopping after work yesterday, haha. I debated leaving it there and waiting until my nail grew out, but it was painful and I read online that it can get infected, so I decided to get it out… had to cut my nail down
and eventually, I was able to dig it out.
Not wearing anything on my nails at the moment, but I plan on doing some red/green/glitter-ish later today
I have in Dream Stream from Model’s Own with a couple nails accented with OPI MWTGG. I’m loving the blue w/gold!
I hope your nails get better soon!

I’m currently wearing Essie school of hard rocks. I might add some glitter later on to add some sparkle.

I’m wearing Zoya Noot. It’s holiday-esque and a great creme.
Currently nothing. I’m just waiting to get to work so I can do my nails. I am however,on my toes, rocking a pale pink with a super sparkly China Glaze top coat. I think it’s called Snow Globe. It’s festive without being full on Christmas-y!
Just have a couple coats of Honk If You Love OPI on over here. I had thought I might add some gold flake topcoat at some point, but looking at my hands now, I think my nails are way too long for this color, lol…
At the moment I’m wearing Poinsettia with Twinkle Lights over top. Both by china glaze.
Today I am wearing China Glaze Electric beat and China Glaze Calypso blue, but I will be changing polishes and colors today, I haven’t decided yet. I might go red and gold as the holidays get closer;)
I’m wearing Zoya Apple. A gorgeous green, really. I thought it is a dupe of Ivanka, but it is brighter, yay. I got loads of compliments on it as well.

I have China Glaze Fast Track with a matte top coat. My ring fingers have Sephora Self-Maid Millionaire from their Cinderella collection. Instead of obvious sparkle there’s now a subtle shimmer (except for my accent nail, of course).
Zoya matte velvet in posh. Really want the green one from this collection from two years ago…but can’t find it. Any suggestions?
I did a bunch of swatching last night, so I’m not wearing anything today (my nails need a few days to recover!). However as Xmas approaches I am planning on wearing the new green glitter from the CG Cirque collection.

zoya Storm with a thin coat of OPI goldeneye layered over it. Weird how a thin coat brings out its green tones- my daughter mistook it for ButterLondon Wallis!

Hee, these questions ALWAYS come up when I’m in between polishes! I just took off a no name blurple with pink and blue sparklie from Cosmetic Arts that I picked up at Ross for $1.99. Tonight I’m doing Essie Leading Lady, but not until after I’ve finished laundry!
I tend to gravitate towards more holiday-ish colors in December, but as you can see from the blurple, it doesn’t necessarily mean red, green, or gold!
I’m wearing a bright red from Yves Rocher, it doesn’t have a name on it. Not because of the holidays though, because I wear red more often than not lol
Right now I’m sporting Nubar Purple Rain, but its starting to chip, so I’m thinking Cult Nails Seduction, since I haven’t worn it yet.

I am liking the Zoya holiday shades right now a lot – all but Logan – like it but it’s too Christmas colored for me at this point. I am doing more non traditional shades and the week of will turn to more spot on shades I think – not sure – I have a chronically out of town month with medical – gone this week – home for 3 days – then gone again – then back – then gone again for the entire week before Christmas – sort of means no holiday decos in my house this yr – live alone so not a big deal. Missed it all last yr as was stuck in medical housing as a patient last yr for Thanksgiving through NY. But I sure have loved looking at all the nail art and colors on line. I bought a few to add to my stash. I do however like to wear some of the more holiday colors on my toes – am in an area for medical where my toes are seen in sandals or bare toes in the hospital every day. Right now I have NOPI Gold As It Gets on my toes – it’s enough gold and enough green pull to look seasonal and I did not think it looked like fall at all when it was out in the fall NOPI for Target collection – only stumbled on it a few weeks ago when I was in a Target looking for longer tops that would help me deal with winter.
I’m wearing an indie holiday polish from last year, Nail Graffiti’s Evergold over one coat of China Glaze Holly Day. Evergold is a glitter mixture of light green, gold and blue. It’s sooooooo sparkly and pretty and green

I did a mani to cheer myself up (half-hoped I’d get to go to a dinner but got waylaid by a migraine).
OPI Casino Royale, topped with Clarins 230 (every woman should have this polish OH MY GOD, first time wearing it), ring fingers topped with SOPI It’s Real 18k gold flakes. It’s my best mani ever! Squee!

Nothing. I got 2 KB Shimmers and a Candeo in the mail today, and I can’t decide, lol/
I have Avon ‘Jade’on my toes and plan to put ChG ‘Party Hearty’ on top. On my fingers I have Zoya’s ‘Kimber’ with Fergie in ‘Flossy, Flossy’.
PS: Even though you’re nails are short & your thumb is bandaged, you could still paint you nails a fun color and decorate the bandage to match. You can cover an area with medical tape and draw on that with markers or polish. Nothing over the top & gaudy, but still fancier than plain white.
It’s my right thumb with the stitches, so I can’t hold the wand to swatch my left hand
See if your step-daughter will paint that hand (I am remembering correctly that you have a step-daughter, right?). Either that of it’s time to teach the hubby to paint your nails. Seeing as he’d be utterly oblivious to not know how much you love your nails painted, he must realize that not having your nails painted, especially during the Holiday season, will make you blue. Just have him paint them with a glitter polish so brushstrokes don’t matter so much.
Actually, and this is kind of ironic, I rarely paint my nails anymore! I have painted them maybe 3 times in the last 4 months aside from swatching. I seem to swatch so much and hardly ever go anywhere, it seems pointless to paint them lately.
I hardly go anywhere either. I suffer from severe depression & social anxiety bad enough that I am disabled, so I rarely go out. I don’t wear makeup around the apt, but I do keep tend to keep my nails painted. I consider it color therapy I can wear.
I find the right color helps my mood a lot and taking the time to focus on my doing my nails can help when my brain is distracted.
I’m glad the color therapy on the nails works some for you! I think mine boils down to…laziness mostly!
I am wearing Sephora by OPI’s color in Sephora 212 and loving it! It’s dark with flakies and holo glitter. It is giving me everything I need for this winter/holiday season and it’s not even my traditional golds. I actually have matching fingers and toes which I never do

I love whatever was on your nails in the picture- I don’t remember that post. The color combo is really swell. Is that a stamp or did you do your own swirl pattern?

After I wrote that comment, I realized that those didn’t look like your hands- plus I was trying to figure out what book it was, and from what I could (barely) see, it didn’t exactly look like English…(not saying that you couldn’t be reading a book in another language; but combined with the different hands, the clues were adding up!)
All that aside, I still find that to be an intriguing color combo!

I hope your thumb heals up well! I once sliced a chunk off my right index finger- not too much, but I couldn’t find the piece, thus the missing bit had to grow back. It was sensitive for almost two years, but it healed in under a month.
Right now, I’m wearing Zoya Suvi and Edyta. I bought a custom Dream Box during their Black Friday sale, and I’m glad I did! Suvi is a gorgeous green, and Edyta is a lovely, unique sparkly metallic shade.

I had a job interview yesterday, so I went boring (but pretty) with OPI My Very First Knockwurst. When I got home, I stamped it with Revlon Gold Coin and my (new!) DRK-A plate and then put China Glaze Angel Wings as an accent nail. It’s delicate, pretty, and not boring!
Right now I don’t have anything on my fingers….which never happens lol….but on my toes I have Bigger on the Inside by Nail Pattern Boldness on Etsy! Love, love, love her Time Traveler Collection!! Best Doctor Who inspired polishes I’ve ever seen=D
