Wet n Wild Shimmer The Night Away Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Swatches & Review

Wet n Wild Shimmer The Night Away is one of the new limited edition Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes this holiday season. There are three in total (Sparkle ‘Til Morning and Drinking A Glass Of Shine – which incidentally is the same exact palette as I Heart Matte).
This palette features a side of lights & darks and then a super colorful side of purples and blues.

Left side: Browbone, Eyelid, Crease, Definer
The Browbone shade is an icy shimmery white.
The Eyelid shade is an intense silver metallic.
The Crease shade is a dark grey with silver glitter.
The Definer shade is a black with silver glitter.
I was fairly impressed with the first three of these considering I didn’t use any primer. They all feel soft and had good pigmentation. The Definer shade though was a bit patchy without a primer.

Right side: Browbone, Eyelid, Crease, Definer
The Browbone shade is a pale pink/lavender with very subtle shimmer.
The Eyelid shade is a bright fuchsia/purple.
The Crease shade is a medium sparkly purple.
The Definer is a medium bright blue glitter.
The pigmentation with these shades wasn’t as strong as I had hoped. I had to work a bit to get them to really show up. I think over a primer they would be a bit more intense.
Overall: I like this palette but definitely not as much as Sparkle ‘Til Morning. I don’t think it’s as universal and the pigmentation wasn’t as good.
Availability: Walgreens, CVS, etc.
Pricing: $4.99.
Are you interested in the shades in this one or do you prefer more natural shadows?

This was the one palette left at my local CVSes (…what’s the plural of CVS?) but honestly it wasn’t that exciting for me. I don’t wear a ton of purples. But I know a lot of wet n wild items are 75% off right now at CVS, so if you were lucky enough to sstill see them in your area, you may be able to get this for just a few cents!
That would be a really good deal!
I thought the quality of this palette was good, but I wasn’t really into the colors – I think I bought it just for the hype, I hate it when I do that!

I saw this one at Wags, but passed for now. I have all their other palettes and the colors looked too similar those. However, I did grab the Drinking a Glass Of Shine & Sparkle Til Morning. There was no way I was missing out on that matte one again!
I may rethink picking it up this one if I run into it again (3x rule).

I love the two dark grays/blacks! I have to stop myself from buying this, though, despite the great price – I feel like I have some shades that are somewhat similar!

Definitely prefer the warmer, neutral palette, but that’s because those colors look better on me.

I didn’t get this one – seemed similar to the core collection one (although I know it is not identical) and didn’t seem as versatile.
