Revlon Sparkle Aplenty Nail Enamel Swatches & Review

I came across Revlon Sparkle Aplenty at Walgreens or CVS recently and it was quietly sitting all by itself and seemed like it needed a comfy, warm home. So even though I’m not a huge fan of glittery nail polish, it’s Christmas and all, so I should be charitable.
I think this is part of a limited edition collection but not 100% sure.

Sparkle Aplenty
Sparkle Aplenty has a black base and features micro silver glitter, and small silver and black hex glitter. Hmmm. Not really a fan to be honest. The black base is a little thin and watery at first, but does get pretty opaque after two coats. The problem is that there is so much glitter in here it has that super chunky texture and look. You do get a lot of glitter with each swipe, so that is good. You don’t have to fish the larger pieces out. But with two coats you get a lot of glitter lying on top of other pieces. So unless you have a butt boat-load of patience to place it, it will look a bit messy.

Sparkle Aplenty
And that’s Sparkle Aplenty for ya.
Availability: Drug stores.
Pricing: $5-7.00.
What do you think? Too chunky?

I personally prefer my glitter smaller.
It reminds me of a silver version of Revlon’s Facets of Fuchsia, which I love. Although not a fan of silver and black combo, and it’s a pain to remove!
I didn’t expect this to like really chunky. It’s actually pretty….ugly! I love dark shades and I love glitter but this looks like a mess in a bottle.
This polish really just needs a semi-opaque black basecoat to start and then a smoothing top coat over top to morph from icky lumps to really pretty. I usually layer it over Zoya Raven and top with Seche Vite for a smooth, sparkly finish. It’s a great party polish.

I saw this at my Walgreens as the Revlon Color of the Year (or something similar). I think the idea is fine (black base with silver glitter) but I do wish it wasn’t so chunky and heavy-looking.

I think that Sparkle Aplenty is LE, but Revlon just released a new, permanent collection that repromoted it, but with a different name.

I just bought the repromote and it’s called Ritzy. In fact it took me forever to find this post to show a friend what it looks like because I didn’t know it had two names!
It’s pretty! Shame about the texture…

Yeah, something got lost in the translation. You never know until you try, though!

This looks like the polish that was just sent to me in my Julep box. Very nice though!
I agree, I’m not a big fan of it either. That amount of glitter would bother me going on and taking it off.

Hmm…I like this in theory but in execution I’m really not feeling it. I usually like glitter but this one just seems a little too messy and chunky for me I think.

I’m actually not a huge fan of this. i thought iit’d be a nice dupe for some of the black-with-sparkles polishes that’ve come out from high end brands but the finish is totally different

I’m not really a fan of this either, so I can understand you when you say it looks messy. Which is, btw, a problem I have with a lot of indie glitters too!

I found this a while ago when it came out and was so excited. Alas, I agree with you – not a fan. At all.
I got Sparkle Aplenty home and immediately swatched it/started a mani which I quickly decided to remove before I was even finished. It was just so bad. Between the lumpy chunky formula to the inability to visibly see any of the black glitter to the black base being overbearing and dull…I’d go so far as to call it fug. And I’m a glitter polish girl! *le sigh* Such a shame! Thankfully Revlon has recently created Girly and Heavenly, both beautiful glitter polishes that I know I’ll love for sure!
This polish looks like the Wet n Wild polish from the Fergie collection. I purchased a Revlon polish exactly like this but blue instead. Wasn’t all that impressed with it as well.
It’s pretty but does look like it would be hard to work with and a bit too chunky.

I bought this same shade only it’s called Ritzy now. I don’t have any issue with it being too chunky.
