Masked

This past weekend we went to the Great Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. Basically it’s a 120,000 square foot replica of old London. Super fun! Many, many people were dressed in period costumes and they had lots of yummy food and cool shops. I’ll show more pics over the coming days but today I wanted to show some of the cool leather masks in one shop. These are all hand-made and most of them were various animals. Really cool! Here I am as a pig.

As a cat of some sort I think.

This was my favorite one, some kind of black bird. A crow or raven? I wish we could have bought a few but they started at a couple hundred bucks and up.

They really are beautiful masks. Idk if it’s just me but there’s something sort of eerily intriguing about them, like Victorian buildings. Very cool

That sounds like such an amazing time. I think that the crow mask is stunning, but I love the patina on that pig mask.

Cool masks! They look beautifully made, and I particularly love the raven mask! Looking forward to your other posts on the festival!
