LORAC Sweet Temptations Eye Shadow Collection for Holiday 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review

More cuteness from LORAC for the holidays! This time we have the Sweet Temptations Eye Shadow Collection, which is one of the best ideas ever for packaging, says this chocoholic.
This collection features four “chocolate bars” each featuring four different eye shadow shades, and a mirror inside.
- Indulge In White Chocolate (Dramatic Eye Shadow Palette)
- Satisfying Toffee Crunch (Natural Eye Shadow Palette)
- Tease Me Truffles (Plum Eye Shadow Palette)
- Tantalizing Dark Chocolate (Bronze Eye Shadow Palette)

Dramatic Eye Shadow Palette

Dramatic Eye Shadow Palette

Dramatic Eye Shadow Palette (over primer)
The first shade is a shimmery pale yellow.
The second shade is a shimmery silver.
The third shade is a shimmery steel grey.
The fourth shade is a deep black with multi-colored shimmer.
Really nice pigmentation overall in this palette. I liked all of these shades but the yellow one was especially pretty and cool looking.

Natural Eye Shadow Palette

Natural Eye Shadow Palette

Natural Eye Shadow Palette (over primer)
The first shade is a very pale pink with a slight sheen.
The second is a rosy copper colored metallic.
The third is a deep reddish bronze metallic.
The fourth is a medium/deep brown with slight reddish shimmer.
I didn’t think some of these shadows were as pigmented as they could’ve been. The first and last weren’t that great. The middle two were really nice and in particular the third one.

Plum Eye Shadow Palette

Plum Eye Shadow Palette

Plum Eye Shadow Palette (over primer)
The first shade is a shimmery pale lilac/silver.
The second shade is a medium pink/plum metallic. Very pigmented.
The third shade is a deep warm plum shimmer. Gorgeous and pigmented.
The fourth shade us a slightly shimmery black that was a wee bit patchy.
The first three shades here were the best in terms of texture and payoff. I think the middle two are gorgeous shades and make blue/grey eyes like mine really stand out. I love these colors of shadows paired with Urban Decay Rockstar liner (one of my all-time favorite liners!)

Bronze Eye Shadow Palette

Bronze Eye Shadow Palette

Bronze Eye Shadow Palette (over primer)
The first shade is a shimmery warm yellow/gold.
The second is a metallic warm copper, very pigmented.
The third is a metallic warm medium brown/copper. Nicely pigmented also.
The fourth is a medium warm brown matte that wasn’t very pigmented.
Because of the first three shades I really love this set. The fourth shade was a bummer because it was so hard to get to show up. But the others were all really amazing.
Overall: Aside from how cute these look, they are pretty great overall. They are small and light enough to easily pack or pop in your purse. Most of the shades are pigmented and felt soft. It seems for most of these except the first one they fourth shade is the trouble-maker. The darker ones tends to be chalkier and not as nicely pigmented as the rest.
Availability: Ulta exclusive.
Pricing: $30.00 and each palette is 0.17 oz.
What do you think about this set of palettes? Do you love any of these colors?

I *think* Sephora has the Sweet Temptations Full Face set, which includes these as well as other products.
I love the packaging of these – it’s so nice to have little palettes instead of a giant one. And I love the quality of Lorac eyeshadows. Such a lovely set!

Very cute and overall really good quality shadows I think.
Ahh these are absolutely way too cute! I wish Lorac were available here in Europe, but it wasn’t last time I checked. Hope it will be soon!

Aww booo, they should be over there!
I have been eyeing this set for so long..but unfortunately this is already sold out online..and there is no ulta close to my house..nevertheless thanks for the review..!
Drat!
I love this kit. I bought it with the last 20% off Ulta did. I reach for it constantly, and after seeing the swatches of the Sephora kit (slightly different colors, plus a cream eyeliner set and cheeks/lips set) I think the Ulta kit is the way to go. This was a great way to try out Lorac for me. Now I am eyeballing the pro palette.
Cool and 20% off is a good deal!
Really nice and pigmented! I saw these at Sephora and thought how cute the packaging was! These would be great for traveling too

I love the packaging, but couldn’t justify them to myself as I’ve already got most of those colors.

These are some really beautiful colors. I just can’t get over how powdery the shadows from the pro palette are. I wonder if that is all Lorac shadows in general or is it from just that one palette. I feel like I waste a lot of product.

Saw a similar set at Sephora. The packaging is just way too adorable.
Just found your blog and love it. I’m a new follower now.

I have been looking for these since before Christmas and haven’t been able to find them anywhere. Do you know where I could possibly find them now. I even called the main office of Ulta and they didn’t know when they would get any in the stores in my state. I kept calling all the stores in my state and they didn’t get any in. Can you help?
Sandi
Sorry Ulta is the only place I know of. Maybe try Sephora, they had something similar I think.
