Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Swatches & Review

I feel like somehow the entire world was keeping Make Up For Ever Aqua Black from me! Why had I never heard about it until I was browsing Sephora, greedily looking for items to spend my VIB discount on?
That’s ok world, I forgive you because now I have discovered it and so far it’s good, good stuff.

Aqua Black
Aqua Black is a waterproof cream shadow. But it’s not just a creamy eyeshadow, it’s also a great jet black cream eyeliner. It comes in a small tub with a plastic cover over the actual product (under the lid) to help keep it moist and creamy. And man is this stuff creamy! It just glides onto the skin, but it does dry somewhat quickly. Not super fast, but fast enough to get a bit of a panic into me as I am trying to get my liner shape perfect. It’s a really true, deep black shade.
I have yet to try it underneath other eyeshadows or as a smoky shadow itself, but as a liner it lasted all day with no flaking or or smudging. It even worked fairly well on my waterline. It lasted a couple hours without disappearing, which is better than most for me.
Now the REAL test begins…How long will it stay creamy and not dry out? We shall see, we shall see.
Availability: Sephora.
Pricing: $23.00 for 0.24 oz.
Have you tried Aqua Black out? How have you used it?
-Kelly
Note: MUFE is not cruelty free (they sell in China).

Maybe I will try it. Not as a eye shadow but as a eyeliner

Oh that is super black! I’ve been using Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean as a black base, but I might have to try this!

Had no idea this existed either! I’ve been looking for something like MAC Paint Pots but not as dry. Search over I think!

I’ve had this for awhile and use it whenever I wear makeup out. I have monolids and it doesn’t last long if I don’t prime my eyes. Same goes for waterline. If I wear it on my waterline I set it with eyeshadow and it will last longer.
I think this was somewhat of a new release? Do you have any inglot liners? Would you say they were comparable?
I really like this for my smokey looks. x

definitely would love to try it for eyeliner
They are no longer cruelty free.
I’m not sure I’ve tried anything from Make Up Forever that wasn’t good!

A couple hours on the waterline is definitely great weartime in my books… I’m usually lucky to get more than 15 minutes on my water line

Thanks for the idea to use it as liner…seems obvious now you point it out! I got it as a base for eyeshadow but I do find it dries to quick to blend nicely so haven’t used it very much.
