Question of the Week
TGIF!
Hope your week went well. 
Thanksgiving is next Thursday here in the US and of course the most popular pie to serve for dessert is pumpkin. Sometimes pecan. Sometimes others. But this begs the question…
What is your favorite kind of pie?
I only JUST started liking pumpkin pie about a year ago and really, I only like this Pioneer Woman version (I made it, it’s EXCELLENT!). I don’t really like any fruit pies either except lemon meringue or key lime. My very favorite pie would have to be coconut cream pie. YUM. I like chocolate pies also. Mmmmm pie.

I’m the opposite! I like ONLY fruit pies! There’s an Amish market near my house, their cherry is to DIE FOR. There’s not too much goop, and the cherries are a bit tart. Mmm. I also love their peach pie!

We had our Thanksgiving last month here in Canada. It wouldn’t be the same without spicy pumpkin pie. It is my favourite, definitely. I’ve never heard of the Pioneer Woman version of the recipe. What is it?
I tend to prefer the savory/tart kind of pie instead of sweet. I love lemon meringue and key lime, but they have to be tart enough to make your mouth pucker.

I wouldn’t care for that kind of pumpkin pie myself. I prefer the traditional pumpkin.
Fruit pies!! I love anything a bit tart and sweet!! Cherry pie, mixed berry pie, nummy!!
pumpkin chiffon cake is great here in the islands. So may things are pumpkin this and that now. I like also pumpkin cheese cake.
Other times a good chocolate cream pie and cherry.

My favorite pie would have to be my mother-in-law’s chocolate peanut butter pie. Oh my gosh, so heavenly. She made me and my husband one for our July birthdays and we ate the entire thing within two days, haha. Other favorite pies of mine are apple and pecan. I’ve never really liked pumpkin, but the Pioneer Woman one looks excellent.
Pumpkin. Classic style. I love PW, but hers is a terrible mockery of the tried and true. I also make a KILLER peach pie. Its good, but pumpkin is my fave. I stock up when pumpkin is on sale at the store.

My favorite and the only kind I eat is Coconut Cream yum yum! One of those things where I’ve never had Keylime and sometimes fruit is gross. I’ve had rocky/gritty chunks in pumpkin that hurt my teeth… so I just always go to Coconut and am never let down!
It’s so hard to chose. i mean, it’s pie! You can’t really go wrong with pie!
But if I have to choose then it’s definitely Lemon Meringue. I LOVE citrus and lemon is my favorite. Also the meringue is so spongy and yummy. I LOVE IT!

Pecan! Dutch Apple (with the crumble crust on top), pumpkin, key lime, chocolate mouse, peppermint/grasshoper pie (no bugs included!). I love all of those plus coconut cream.
My absolute favorite pie, by a mile, is Key Lime Pie. I also like marion berry pies if they’re not too sweet, pecan pie and sweet potato pie. Yum.
I dont like fruit pies! I think its because the fruit is cooked. I dont like any kind of fruit filling either. I do like pumpkin though! My favorite pie is cream cheese. Speaking of pies did you see Hostess went out of business? SAD!

Pecan Pie is my favorite, but pumpkin is a close runner up!
I’ll be bringing a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream for Thanksgiving. But, I also love lemon meringue and key lime pie!
My grandmother made peach, apple, and blackberry cobblers all the time when I was growing up, so I’m partial to them as well.

I have 2 favourite pies. Ok, this may sound weird, but take account of my background: I’m Argentine, married to an Italian living in Switzerland, and we never celebrate thanksgiving, first pie is Maizena/Vanilla pie (still wondering?) second is ricotta pie. If you’re interested I may post the recipe one day, but I’m not good at making photo illustrated recipe.
I also like a lot la “tarte tatin” aka “tarte des demoiselles tatin”, but I don’t know if that could be properly named “pie” or cake.

The only pie I like is my mom’s pecan pie, which has pecans all through the filling rather than just arranged on top.

Pie, any kind, but pumpkin is my particular favorite for Thanksgiving. My husband’s family has over 20 pies at thanksgiving dinner.
I like pie made from scratch with very little to no sugar added. (I make my own pies usually) I find the store bought pies so overly sugared they make me ill. My absolute favorite is black raspberry pie. Fresh tart apple pie with sweet homemade whipped cream is the best for Thanksgiving. Not too fond of pumpkin pie, but I love pumpkin spice lattes.
I like pumpkin pie, but I LOVE pumpkin cheesecake. My mom makes it best, and I really need to learn myself. If you’re not a huge pumpkin fan, another delicious and slightly healthier option is to add a can of pumpkin (not pie mix, plain pumpkin) to spice cake. I made cupcakes and frosted them with cinnamon cream cheese frosting (cream cheese frosting from Betty Crocker with about a teaspoon of cinnamon). I topped mine with chocolate jimmies and my co-workers devoured them.
I once ate a slice of Fruits of the Forest pie at a diner just outside of the west entrance of Yellowstone, and that was the best pie I ever tasted. My normal favorite is Key Lime.
I am going to check out your pioneer woman pie recipe.

My favorite pie is Lemon Supreme. It is graham cracker crust, cheesecake layer, lemon layer, and whipped cream. Unfortunately the bakery that made it closed so I haven’t had it in a while.
Pumpkin pie is definitely my favorite. YUMMMM! But I also love a good banana cream pie as well.

There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that pumpkin pie is my absolute favourite kind of pie!
When I was a kid, blueberry pie was my favourite, but when I got older, pumpkin pie had me at mmm!
