MAC Glamour Daze for Holiday 2012 Swatches & Review
MAC Glamour Daze is a really gorgeous new holiday 2012 collection. Glamour Daze features a colorful variety of Extra Dimension Eye Shadows, Skinfinishes, Fluidlines, Powder Blushes, Nail Lacquers, Lipsticks, Lipglasses and Kohl Eye Pencils.
I was really drawn to this collection as soon as I saw the promotional photos. These kinds of colors are so *me*. And I am happy to report, most of what I played around with lived up to what I hoped!
Orpheus, Mystery, Catch My Eye
Orpheus Kohl Power Eye Pencil is a blackish/taupe with gold pearl. A little on the less pigmented side.
Mystery Kohl Power Eye Pencil is a deep blackened green with green pearl. More intense, better payoff.
Catch My Eye Fluidline is a medium grey/taupe with dazzle pearl. This is a really pretty shade, I would wear it as a shadow or eye shadow base!
Impossibly Sweet, Pink Fade, Innocence, Glamourdaze
Impossibly Sweet Lipglass is a very sheer pink with multidimensional colored pearl. I know a lot of people don’t like these shades because they’re so sheer but I actually LOVE the pearl in it. So pretty, especially layered over a pink or purple lipstick.
Pink Fade Lipglass is a light, whitened pink. Pretty shade, but it settles into lip lines quite a bit.
Innocence Lipstick is a frosty pale coral. It’s a nice shade, but I don’t love the frost finish.
Glamourdaze Lipstick is a medium plum cremesheen. Pretty sheer and patchy. Not my kind of shade personally.
A Natural Flirt, Ready To Party, Divine Blue, Round Midnight (over primer)
A Natural Flirt is a pale peach/pink shade. Super pretty, almost duochrome-like.
Ready To Party is a light lilac/pink. SO cool in person I nearly gasped when I swatched it. I love it.
Divine Blue is a medium aqua blue. Another one I was really impressed with.
Round Midnight is a deep burgundy. Super pigmented, amazing payoff.
These shadows are what totally made this collection for me. They felt soft, smooth and all four had really nice pigmentation. The first three are shades I would immediately buy if I didn’t have them. I might check out the others I haven’t seen now!
Small Vanity, Whisper Of Gilt
Small Vanity Powder Blush is a medium orange/pink. Decent payoff, not my favorite shade for my skin tone.
Whisper Of Gilt Extra Dimension Skinfinish is a pale gold shimmer. Really pretty shade and a little goes a long way. Nice payoff.
In The Limelight, Girl Trouble, Endless Night, Everything That Glitters
