Benefit Fine One One Brightening Cheek & Lip Trio Swatches & Review

Benefit Fine One One

This holiday season Benefit has a new cute little three-in-one trio out called Fine One One.

Fine One One is a brightening stick featuring sheer shades for both cheeks and lips. It comes in a super cute rose gold colored twist-up stick. It features Soft Coral, Sheer Watermelon and Pink Champagne inside.

All you need to do is twist some product up, apply to your cheeks and blend in with your finger! It gives a nice soft and sheer pink/coral color with just a hint of shimmer from the Pink Champagne. The texture is pretty nice. When you feel it in the container, it feels a little waxy. Once it’s on the skin though, it blends really easily and feels more like a soft powdery texture.

Initially it does seem pretty bright, but then it becomes a much softer shade once blended. You can build it up a bit though by applying more, which is a bonus. You can also use it on lips, but I’m not really sure I would want to do that because the consistency isn’t really moisturizing enough for my lips.

Overall: Love the packaging. Not only is it cute but it’s convenient because it’s small and light enough to pop in your purse and stay closed. I like that you can twist it up and down easily as well. The shades mix together nicely creating a soft flushed look, which is perfect for those late afternoons when your blush has worn off and you’re looking a bit pale and sickly…or is that just me? ;)

Availability: December at Benefit and Sephora.

Pricing: $30.00 for 0.28 oz.

What do you think about Fine One One? Is this something you would ever use?

This is a really cool concept. However I actually wish there was a little more color to it with one swipe. When I saw the 1st photo I thought I must have that! But when I scrolled down, I though…meh.

Well that swatch is it blended in, initially it is more pigmented. And you can build it up a bit also.

I’m a huge fan of Nars’ Illuminator in Orgasm and am wondering how close this is to that?

I’m a sucker for packaging and I love cream blushes. What’s the lasting power like?

The colours are right on my palette, and the concept is brilliant, . I like the packaging as well, so this definitely looks as something I would buy.

seems really too sheer for me, especially for medium to dark skin tones

This looks interesting. It does seem a bit sheer, but it’s still cute. I do really like the idea (plus it’s always fun to see brands coming out with unique products)

Great concept for the packaging! The colour looks sheer, but I think it’s okay because you said it’s buildable. This way, you can customize the intensity to suit your taste. Not everyone wants sheer colour or super-pigmented colour, so this is versatile. :)

As usual Benefit has adorable packaging. But the colour looks quite sheer for my liking in the swatch. :)

If you look at benefits website under faq’s it states that they do not test their products on animals. :)

    • January 21, 2013

Actually they don’t really say that, what they say is very convoluted. And they do sell in China now where animal testing is required by law, so they are not cruelty free.
