OPI So So Skullicious Mini Nail Lacquers for Halloween 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review
OPI So So Skullicious is a new mini set for Halloween 2012.
This set of four colorful mini nail lacquers also includes ten Dia de los Muertos themed sugar skull decals inside.
When I say mini bottles, I mean mini! These tiny bottles are just 1/8 oz’s!
hi, Pumpkin!, A-Rose from the Dead, Mourning Glory, Candlelight
Water-based decals
I haven’t yet used the decals but here are the instructions:
- Paint on nail color and allow to completely dry
- Remove protective film from decals
- Cut out the decal you want to use and dip it in warm water for 10 seconds
- Moisten the surface of your nail
- Gently slide the decal off the paper backing and onto your nail (don’t flip the decal over)
- Blot with a tissue
- Add top coat
Candlelight
Candlelight is a bright warm-based yellow creme. As with most yellow shades, this was a bit uneven and streaky, even after three thin coats.
hi, Pumpkin!
hi, Pumpkin! is a medium bright orange creme. This applied just a little streaky but was mostly even after three thin coats.
A-Rose from the Dead
A-Rose from the Dead is a bright clean pink creme. I got good coverage with two coats, just a wee bit uneven.
Mourning Glory
Mourning Glory is a jet black creme. Nice coverage in just two coats.
Overall: Ok so the shades really aren’t anything that unique, however they are perfect background shades for the sugar skull decals. Sugar skulls are all about bright eye-catching colors, and these do the trick!

where are the decals?
I posted a pic of them, but mentioned I haven’t used them yet.
We totally dig OPI So So Skullicious! A teal shade would have made a great addition to these! What other color would you replace or add to these shades?

Wish they sold the decals separately.
I’m not wild at all about these colors. There’s nothing there that makes me think I gotta have it.

I love these. I agree about the colors, but I’m obsessed with anything mini and the little decals are just an added bonus! Definitely will have to pick these up.
