Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Makeup Geek has six new eyeshadows out and I’ve got photos and swatches for ya.

Three of them are mattes and three are shimmery. I think all are pretty wearable, even though a couple are blue! Everyone can wear blue, you just have to find the shade that’s right for you! I made a rhyme. čśë

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Swatches
Peach Smoothie, Creme Brulee, Prom Night (over primer)

Peach Smoothie is a pale peach matte. Of all six of these shadows this was the one that gave me the most problems with payoff. Patchy and uneven.

Creme Brulee is a medium orange/brown matte. Nice payoff and a good neutral shade.

Prom Night is a shimmery greyish/purple. Good payoff.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Swatches 2
Boo Berry, Nautica, Drama Queen (over primer)

Boo Berry is a denim blue matte. On the site it’s described as a dark periwinkle blue, but mine seemed more like a muted denim blue. Nice color, a little bit of patchiness though.

Nautica is a deep midnight blue shimmer. Nice shade, nice texture, nice pigmentation.

Drama Queen is a dark velvety looking purple shimmer. Great shade, great payoff.

Overall: I found that Peach Smoothie and Boo Berry weren’t as pigmented and even as I would normally want, but the other shades are really nice! Makeup Geek Eyeshadows are really great overall and the price you pay for the quality is really good.

Availability: Makeup Geek.

Pricing: $5.99 each for 0.064 oz.

What do you think about their new eyeshadow shades? Have you tried any Makeup Geek shadows yet?
