Too Faced Glamour To Go Spun Sugar Edition for Holiday 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review

Too Faced Glamour To Go Spun Sugar Edition

The holidays are coming, the holidays are coming!

It may have been absurd to say that in August and even the beginning of September, but now that we are getting closer to Halloween, they really are coming faster than I am prepared for.

But if you’re looking for a cute little pocket sized palette for a friend or family member on your list, then the Too Faced Glamour To Go Spun Sugar Palette might make a great stocking stuffer.

This limited edition palette features eight eyeshadows, a bronzer, a highlighter and a lip gloss. It’s all encased in a really pretty double-decker gold box.

Highlighter, Bronzer, Lip Gloss

The Highlighter is a pale golden pink shimmer. Soft and pigmented.

The Bronzer is a medium/deep tan with gold shimmer. Nicely pigmented.

The Lip Gloss is a very pale and sheer light gold with shimmer. The shimmer doesn’t really show up on my hand.

Overall: Starting off with the palette itself, I think it’s really pretty, small and cute. There were some eyeshadows I really liked, however I wish there were a couple matte shadows thrown in to make it more interesting. The Highlighter is a nice shade and soft. The Bronzer would be too dark for fair-skinned folks, such as myself. The golden lip gloss is fairly invisible, I wish it was more pigmented.

Availability: Sephora, Too Faced.

Pricing: $22.00. Eye Shadows are 0.24 total oz, Highlighter is 0.076 oz, Bronzer is 0.076 oz, Lip Gloss is 0.026 oz.

What do you think about this Glamour To Go Palette? Anyone on your list that might want this?

I think this would make a good starter set or, as Erin said, a nice gift. I like the highlighter and the bottom eyeshadow row. but I think I’m gonna skip this one. nice photos btw.

I like when packaging is compact and sleek, like this. Good for travel. There’s just too many shimmers for me to get much use out of, but I can see it being a really cute palette, especially for someone in their teens. Could’ve left out the lip gloss tho…

There’s no Wow factor in it. Maybe for a first kit it would be good

    • October 5, 2012

I agree with you, Danisha. It’s not a bad palette, but I feel like the colours are better for those who are just starting out and need the basic shades. Hehe, but if you’re a makeup fiend and have tons of cosmetics, these shades don’t really do the whole song and dance. Still nice, though.

I def agree. When the Summer Eye palette came out, I fell instantly in love. But this is def missing the ‘wow’ factor.

      • October 6, 2012

And I agree too. But it would make a nice starter palette.

  • October 5, 2012

The packaging is darling. And I actually really like the colors.

  • October 5, 2012

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I thought the colors looked better in the packaging than they did on. Aside from that bronzer I’m a bit underwhelmed by Too Faced Holiday collection this year. Usually I love it

  • October 5, 2012

This is actually very well coordinated color wise, but I wish they had included a blush as opposed to a bronzer.

Omg this is adorable! I’m such a sucker for cute, compact packaging. Looks perfect for travel, too…

  • October 5, 2012

I think the packaging is adorable, I just don’t like when companies put uncovered lip products with eyeshadows or blushes. Maybe it’s just the germaphobe in me but I hate that sometimes the blush or shadows flake off into the lip product. I think I’ll pass on getting this, although it’s cute and reasonably priced. I think $22 isn’t too bad & would make for a good started kit for a younger girl just getting into makeup possibly.

It’s so cute and I love the eyeshadows + the highlighter. The lipgloss could have been left out. If you’re not careful now, you’ll get lipgloss on your bronzer brush,..

love the packaging but the colors aren’t that unique especially for the price

  • October 6, 2012

This is a great palette. Lots in there for a makeup lover. I don’t like that shade of bronzer but I could just ignore it!! LOL

  • October 7, 2012

I agree, some matte into the palette would make it a better one♥

I love the box but not the items inside :/

  • October 7, 2012

The shadow shades remind me of that Prestige palette that just came out. Think I’ll get that instead, I’m not one for bronzer or gloss. Yay for saving $$!

  • October 8, 2012

I always go for shimmers, this would be perfect for me. Great price, too!

True! I don’t understand why palettes lately are packed with only shimmer shadows. What happened to the mattes?!?!?! We need transition colors!!!! lol

  • November 12, 2012

Not a fan of this one. The packaging is cute, but the eye shadows are not that pigmented at all :/
