Happy Labor Day Weekend!

This Monday in the US is Labor Day. Basically it’s a day to pay homage to the working folks and a holiday for most people.

Labor Day also is the unofficial last day of summer. I think we always think of it that way because traditionally (at least when I was a kid) we always went back to school after Labor Day. Now things seem different, kids are going back mid-August (blasphemy).

Fun fact: In “high society” back in the day, Labor Day was the last day you could wear white or seersucker until spring. Can you imagine not wearing a cozy, fluffy white winter sweater? It seems so bizarre, although the seersucker thing I kind of get!

It’s also pretty popular to have a BBQ and watch parades or sports, none of which I’ll be partaking in. 😉

Anyway, let me know if you have any fun plans this weekend.
