New and exclusive to Sephora are the Kat Von D Foiled Love Liquid Lipsticks.

These lipstick/lip gloss hybrids come in four new shades:

• Forever & Never – Shimmery light bronze
• Backstage Bambi – Bright pink
• Adora – Bright red
• Hellbent – Deep red

The texture of these initially is like a thick wet gloss. But then they dry quickly and appear more like a lipstick. A metallic “foiled” lipstick. I thought Backstage Bambi was going to be perfect for me because I love hot pink lips. However the finish left me feeling a little more 1985 than I prefer…

Stila’s fall 2012 collection includes some bold lip shades and a new limited edition icy-white liner.

Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick’s are some of my favorite items from the brand. These amazing liquid lipsticks have a full coverage lipstick look, but apply like a gloss. Then they dry to a totally budge-proof color. They do not bleed or flake for many, many hours. They can feel a wee bit dry sometimes depending on the state my lips are in when I apply them. They are infused with vitamin E and avocado oils to help moisturize.

Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner now comes in a limited edition shade perfect for the colder days ahead (really it seems like a winter shade to me) called Empress. Empress is a bright white with very subtle shimmer.

Foundation primers are a product that a few years ago I had no idea I couldn’t live without. I mean, they hardly even existed back then! Now it seems pretty much every brand has at least one.

But get this.

Smashbox doesn’t just have the requisite 1 or 2 of them, they have nine! Nine! That could be the most of any brand, as far as I know.

I love them because they minimize pores, help to blur fine lines and overall make my foundation apply easier. If I am wearing foundation, you can bet I am wearing a primer underneath it.
