OPI Germany is the latest and greatest collection from OPI for fall 2012.

Germany features twelve new shades, all either cremes or shimmers. Quite a few of these turned out to be must-haves for me, which I didn’t really expect. If you love glowing, lit-from-within shimmery metallics, I think you will want some of these…

OPI Don t Pretzel My Buttons
Don’t Pretzel My Buttons

Don’t Pretzel My Buttons is a light tan/beige creme. Very close to my skin tone. Nothing much to write home about for me with this one. It was a little bit streaky and I used two coats.

OPI My Very First Knockwurst
My Very First Knockwurst

My Very First Knockwurst is a pale muted pink creme. A nice work appropriate color, but again nothing super unique I don’t think. This was a little uneven and I used three thin coats.

OPI Don t Talk Bach To Me
Don’t Talk Bach To Me

Don’t Talk Bach To Me is a shimmery yellow/green. Now we’re talking! It’s kind of a muted Dijon mustard color. Not obviously yellow or green really. The shimmer is silvery and makes it cooler I think. I love this one, very me. This was two coats.

OPI Berlin There Done That
Berlin There Done That

Berlin There Done That is a medium mushroom taupe creme. Nice shade, walks the line between greyish and taupe, but leans more towards taupe. This was a bit sheer so I used three coats.

OPI Schnapps Out Of It
Schnapps Out Of It!

Schnapps Out Of It! is a burnt orange/coral with silver shimmer. I love this one, unexpectedly. Really rich and creamy and almost one coat. Very unique!

OPI Nein Nein Nein Ok Fine
Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!

Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! is a super dark charcoal grey creme. It almost appears to be a really dark green but it’s grey. Doesn’t look black, but close. This was three coats as it’s a bit watery and sheer.

OPI Deutsche You Want Me Baby
Deutsche You Want Me Baby

Deutsche You Want Me Baby is a medium super shimmery metallic orange. Wow my camera freaked out with this one. It’s SO saturated and rich. It glows. Gorgeous and three thin coats.

OPI Danke Shiny Red
Danke-Shiny Red

Danke-Shiny Red is a rich jewel-toned shimmery metallic red. Another one where my camera freaked out. Crazy pretty in real life and again, looks like it’s glowing. This was two coats.

OPI German icure By OPI
German-icure By OPI

German-icure by OPI is a deep rich reddish brown shimmery metallic. WOWOWOWOWOW. I know I keep saying this but this one GLOWS. So gorgeous and creamy. I couldn’t stop looking at it. I love these kinds of reds. This was three coats.

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest
Every Month Is Oktoberfest

Every Month Is Oktoberfest is a deep rich purple/red shimmer. Ok I thought German-icure By OPI was my fav until I swatched this one. Another amazing jewel-toned glowing shimmer. This is my favorite from the collection. This was three coats.

OPI Suzi The 7 Dusseldorfs
Suzi & The 7 Düsseldorfs

Suzi & The 7 Düsseldorfs is a violet metallic shimmer. There is a lot of red and blue shimmer in this one making it really pretty. It’s a little frosty though. This was three coats.

OPI Unfor Greta Bly Blue
Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue

Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue is a frosty medium blue metallic. It’s kind of a muted blue, not too bright and not navy. This was three coats.

Overall: Ok there are some definite must-haves here in my opinion. If you like kind of oddball colors that you might not already have then Don’t Talk Bach To Me, Schnapps Out Of It! and Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! might be ones for you. If you are a sucker for jewel toned shimmery metallics then I recommend Danke-Shiny Red, German-icure By OPI and Every Month Is Oktoberfest.

Availability: Out this month!

Pricing: $8.50 for 0.5 oz.

Now you have seen OPI Germany, what do you think? Ja or nein?
