Misa Wanderlust Collection for Fall 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review
Misa Wanderlust is a new collection this fall featuring six new shimmery and metallic shades.
I am going to tell you right now, I really loved all these shades. The application is fantastic, as usual with Misa. Some felt on the thicker side but not hard to work with. They were all just two coats, which is excellent.
Epiphany, Taking Chances, Frozen in Time
Lost to the World, Life Without Knowing, BreakAway
Epiphany is a pale yellow metallic with heavy yellow and gold shimmer. This is a fabulous yellow because it’s not too cool or warm. Because of the gold in it it somehow reads more “fall” to me than say a lemon or more orange yellow does. And for a yellow it was surprisingly not streaky!
Taking Chances is a medium metallic apricot/orange with heavy gold and orange (and maybe red) shimmer. This is a very autumn-esque looking orange to me. Reminds me of the color of changing leaves. I don’t think I have another shade like it either!
Frozen in Time
Frozen in Time is a lavender base with heavy pink shimmer. You already know I love these kinds of shades. Such a gorgeous base color, and the shimmer makes it look lit-from-within. So pretty and feminine!
Lost to the World
Lost to the World is a medium milk chocolate brown with heavy gold and red shimmer. If you love brown polish (Helen from Just Nice Things I’m talking to you) you will probably love this one. Like Frozen in Time, it looks like it’s glowing with fiery embers or something.
Live Without Knowing
Live Without Knowing is a pale taupe/pink metallic base with yellow, pink and blue shimmer. This is the most subtle of the collection, but it’s still no ordinary boring color. It’s one you could maybe get away with in a more strict office setting because it’s somewhat neutral but somewhat not!
BreakAway is a purple base with heavy red and gold shimmer. Stunning. Lit-from-within. Gorgeous. Unique? Hmmm stay tuned for a comparison between it and Zoya Tru. Either way it’s fabulous.
Overall: Normally I don’t truly like every single polish in a collection but this one I definitely do. I think most of the shades are pretty unique, and I love the shimmer going on in all six of them. If I had to pick just two or three to have I would pick Frozen in Time, Lost to the World and BreakAway.
