New from Benefit for fall is the Peek-a-bright-Eyes Eye Illuminating Kit.

This handy and adorable little kit has everything you need to make sure you don’t look like you stayed up night watching Sharktopus on the Syfy Channel until 2:00 am.

Ahem.

Inside the kit you will find a nice large mirror, a mini concealer brush, mini dual-ended contour and liner brush, an eye brightener, base shadow, contour shadow and highlight shadow.

Also included, as usual with Benefit, is a nice little tips and tricks guide for using the products. I really do find these inserts helpful and am really glad so many brands are putting them out now.

Eye Bright, Buff Base Shadow, Warm Chocolate Contour Shadow, Pearly/Pink Highlight Shadow (over primer)

Eye Bright is a creamy light pink. This is great for brightening your inner eye area. I frequently just use a pink highlighter like this instead of concealer because they seem to work better for me.

Buff Base Shadow is a slightly shimmery beige/vanilla shade. Can be used all over lid as a sort of base for the other shadows.

Warm Chocolate Contour Shadow is a medium golden brown. Nicely pigmented, soft. This one is great for in the crease and/or as an eyeshadow on upper or lower lids.

Pearly/Pink Highlight Shadow is an icy pink. Great shade to highlight under your brow bone or inner eye corner.

Overall: It’s a great kit, especially if you want it all in one convenient place. I have a lot of similar products from Benefit already, but not these ones all put together. Handy for traveling for sure!

Availability: Benefit and Sephora this month.

Pricing: $32.00. Eye Bright is 0.05 oz and eye shadows are 0.03 oz each.

  • Seems like a nice kit, great for everyday.

‘How do you brighten your eyes when you’ve been up late watching horrible TV?’
LOL love the question. I tend to use a pale pink concealer or highlighter when I have pretty bad dark circles, too.

  • Benefits little kits are so cute, I’m just always disappointed at how small they are!

  • Benefit has been prolific with the kits lately!

How did I miss Sharktopus? I saw something similar, called Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, starring Kelly McGillis and Brad Johnson. Shakes head.

  • Sharktopus!? Oh. My Gosh. I have such a weakness for those corny monster movies! I find it hard to look away from the terrible special effects. And the military! Won’t they ever learn that they can’t harness the monstrous power of shark-octopus hybrids?? *sigh*

  • I like this kit! Eye Bright is the bomb dot com. But I prefer it in palette form like this vs. the pencil they sell it in – easier to use!! I can’t see myself paying $32 for the convenience factor and some generic shades of shadow, but if it went on sale sometime I might pick it up haha.

  • I do like this kit only at $32 for the 3 eyeshadows and the base, it seems a bit expensive.

  • It’s a bit expensive, yes. But I do love the collection. Why can’t they just take it down 8 to 10 bucks? :(

Late night TV isn’t like it used to be when I was much younger. I love staying up watching TBC or AMC.
