NARS Storm Bird Nail Polish for Fall 2012 Swatches & Review
NARS Storm Bird Nail Polish from their Fall 2012 Color Collection is a new and gorgeous shade.
Now many of you must be thinking, what’s so special about yet another dark grey creme nail polish? There are so many out there, right? That’s true, but I happen to love grey polish. Grey is actually one of the colors I prefer to be a creme rather than any other finish. I just feel a grey creme has an air of sophistication about it, but also it’s more edgy than some other creme shades.
Storm Bird
Storm Bird is a dark smoky grey creme. The formula is very creamy and opaque. Just two coats covers really nicely, and it’s shiny to boot! I love how dark this shade is and weirdly enough, I do not think I have a dupe for this shade in my collection! I think the closest I have to it is Ciate Vintage, but this seems to have more blue undertones. Someone had asked if I have Deborah Lippmann Stormy Weather to compare it to, but I don’t, sorry!
Overall: Gorgeous shade, great formula. Maybe not all that unique and a bit pricey for *just* a grey creme. But if you love grey like me, you might like this one.

I looove this, but $18 is way too much for me to spend on a gray creme – I’ll spend that much on something really unique, but not something this dupeable.

Oh my, do I love grey!! This is absolutely beautiful but way out of budget
Out of my price range for a nail polish but adore the color. It really does looks so classic (with an edge) on the nails.

It sort of looks silvery in the bottle. It’s is a nice smooth looking color!
Surprisingly I don’t own a gray cream either! Even though this is just a normal color, it has that certain uniqueness to it… Looks worth checking out!

I am a grey polish fanatic. It’s neutral yet edgy and can literally go with any other color. Also it looks polished and professional while still being modern. I love grey and this one is no exception!!

I’m holding up my DL Stormy Weather to the computer monitor and it looks a little darker than the NARS. Of course, it’s hard to tell when they’re not side by side in the same space. In either case, they’re both very pretty!
While I like gray creams – I must have 4-5 shades just like this. Most recently I am thinking I brought home is China Glaze Elephant Walk from their new fall 2012 collection. Very, very similar to this.

Wow, when I started reading this, I thought the polish was going to be much lighter based on the first couple of pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to see I was wrong once I saw it on you! That color is simply stunning. I like that it’s a dark color but not so dark that it looks blacked out in low lighting. The price is a bit too expensive for me though.
I actually don’t have many grey creme polishes because greys in general are hard for me to pull off. This one looks great on you, Kelly!
