Sometimes he reminds me of a tiny lion. I think it’s the mane and those wild eyes.

Look what just landed on my desk! The new BB Couture Rhythm & Blues collection! This is a typical two-parter for BB Couture featuring the “regular” side (Rhythm) and the “For Men” side (Blues).

The Rhythm side features six new shades all in various finishes. Unlike the Blues side, which are all blue, we have more colors here and some unusual ones to boot! That’s what I love about BB Couture. They are not afraid of weird or what some people call ugly shades. The ugly ones usually turn out to be my favorites.

The formula was not totally consistent with these, some were two coats some three. A couple were a little streaky.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup is a new foundation that comes in an impressive sixteen shades.

This foundation is a little different than anything I have tried before. It’s whipped! Like mousse! It’s like a creamy mousse really. It offers really nice coverage and is build-able as well. The finish is a semi-matte one. It lasts all day long without disappearing or turning into an oily slick.

Today I’ve got another reader suggestion comparing two similar greens. Orly Gumdrop and Ancient Jade.

Both of them are from Orly. Both are what you could call mint greens. Both have a creme finish. But are they that similar?

As I sit here doused in the scent of Benefit’s new See & Be Seen Sasha fragrance I am transported to another time and place. The time is somewhere mid century, and the place is the sultry Egyptian desert. I am wearing a white linen dress and tan leather sandals…

Just kidding.

I WISH I could be that poetic about fragrance, but I’m not. But the scent is absolutely wonderful nonetheless!
