MAC Heavenly Creature Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

MAC Heavenly Creature MAC Heavenly Creature Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

The new limited edition MAC Heavenly Creature collection will take you on a trip to another galaxy.

This collection which is comprised of Mineralize Eye Shadows, Skinfinishes and Blushes, among other items, is almost too pretty to actually use! Everything looks so artistic and cool that I was really loathe to dip my fingers into the compacts.

But it had to be done.

Alongside the Mineralize items, this collection features Cremesheen Glasses, Lipsticks and a skincare line featuring my favorite of ALL TIME face exfoliator: the iconic Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. I am telling you (and I’ve said this before on Twitter) if they made a Volcanic Ash scent, I would SO buy it. I’m addicted to that smell.

Center Of The Universe, Supernova, Stratus

As we all already know Mineralize Skinfinishes and Blushes (and Eye Shadows) are all very soft to the touch. They are shimmery and have a great texture that is easy to blend.

Center Of The Universe is a orange/coral shade with fine gold shimmer. Nicely pigmented, really pretty. I would use this as an eye shadow I think…

Supernova is a bright pink and gold combo that turns into a pretty rose pink shimmery shade.

Stratus is a amethyst and deep gold mix that turns into a golden brown shade.

Bright Moon, Universal Appeal (no primer)

Bright Moon is a green, silver and purple/grey in the pan and all blended together creates an icy blue/grey shade.

Universal Appeal in the pan is gold, purple, and bronze. Reminds me of Mardi Gras! All blended it creates a very unique looking plum brown shade with gold shimmer. In real life it looks much more interesting than this swatch. I like it!

Pleasureseeker, Meteoric

Pleasureseeker is a glaze finish, so it’s meant to be more of a sheer wash rather than opaque. It’s a pretty peach shade, a little frosty looking on me though.

Meteoric is a medium coral with gold shimmer. I love this shade, it’s very glossy and pretty. Nice pigmentation!

  • The cosmetics are pretty, but what I really want to know is what is that gorgeous blue & green backdrop for the group shot?

  • Are the mineralize blushes similar to the ones in the naturally collection? Or are they more glittery?

    • No they aren’t more glittery, about the same texture and finish.

  • I love the colors in this collection, so much fun. I also bought Supernova and I hate to use it too! They’re all too pretty to mess up, haha.

  • So pretty in the pots! The swatches look pretty good as well – it’s always interesting to see what the finished color looks like given the individual swirls.

  • I love the colors of the blushes, but they’re a bit too shimmery for my personal taste. Thanks for the swatches!

Very nice collection :) I like Supernova, I must have it!

But, what is the different between Mineralize Skinfinish blush and the Mineralize blush? Thanks for helping me :)

    July 1, 2012
    • Center of the Universe is a Mineralize Skinfinish (not a blush) and then there are the Mineralize Blushes. Skinfinish is basically a highlighter/bronzer for the face.

  • I usually love mineralized products from MAC, but for some reason nothing in this collection tempts me. Maybe I have to check them out in person :)

I’m over mineralized makeup products but the lip stuff look awesome. This collection seemed to come out of nowhere.
