Essie Go Overboard is a shade I came across while on Nordstrom’s website and I felt an overwhelming need to possess her.
Go Overboard is part of the Go Overboard spring collection, which also featured Armed & Ready and Play Date.
Go Overboard
Go Overboard (do you think I have said that enough yet?) is a deep blue teal creme. It’s murky and dark, yet obviously still a teal. Excellent creamy formula and it covered in two coats. I think this may be pretty darn unique compared to other teal polishes I already have as well, which makes it even better! Wouldn’t this look good with a gold shimmer over it?

Gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE dark colors in the summer because they’re so unexpected! Also, kind of in love with the fact that you refer to polishes as “hers”. Stealing that.

I passed on it when it first came out but I was recently perusing my Walgreens and just had to have her! I’ve yet to wear it as a a full mani but I’ve done a good bit of nail art with it since it’s so opaque. Love it! It is really unique in my stash too.

I’m not sure if you’ve tried it already or not, but as soon as you see Play Date GRAB that sucker! Its by far THE most beautiful purple I’ve ever seen. And its easily my favorite shade of purple in my collection. Its definitely as ‘must have’!

That is so disappointing that they’re not cruelty-free. I hadn’t really looked I guess, but finding out a brand you’re really warming up to harms animals is a let down. Gorgeous color though!
They were until recently sadly.
I have never tried Essie because its not cruelty free and I probably wont start. This is a nice color but it is a fall color to me and Im so into summer colors right now!

When I saw the first photo I immediately thought it was close to Sonia Kashuk’s Taunting Teal! But, I think Go Overboard has more of a green tone to it, might have to pick it up then.haha.
Playdate is also really nice!

I absolutely LOVED this color when I bought it back in March. I still love it very much! It’s just utterly beautiful, and as Phyrra said, a gold would be even more beautiful ontop! I’ve done nail art where I added gold triangles to the top of it and it looked great. Gold hexgonal glitter would look lovely too. Interestingly enough, this color also looks really great with chartreuse and neon greens.
I’m sad to hear that Essie also sells in China! I didn’t know that. It seems that many companies who previously were loud and proud about being cruelty free are jumping on the whole China train (before anyone loses their marbles, I’m using it metaphorically
)
