BB Couture Rhythm & Blues Collection Swatches & Review – Part II
Love blue nail polish? Then you may love the new BB Couture Rhythm & Blues collection, or rather the “Blues” part. 
Blues features six new blue nail polish shades in various finishes.
There is surely a blue in here with your name on it since we have light, medium, dark and even a blurple thrown in for good measure. 
Most of these were two-coaters, a couple were three though. The formula overall was a bit better than the Rhythm collection, I think mainly because there aren’t any pastel cremes, which can be tricky.

Stone Crazy
Stone Crazy is a blue/purple or blurple as I prefer. It has such a pretty base shade, and then the pink and blue shimmer just adds to it. I love, love, love, love this color. Have I said I love this color? The formula is great, but a little sheer so I used three coats.
Hoochie Coochie Man
Hoochie Coochie Man is a very pale blue with a lot of white in it and super subtle silver shimmer. I definitely had some streaking issues with it as you can clearly see. This was three thin coats, but it just wouldn’t apply evenly at all. This is the only one of these I had issues with.
Black Snake Moan
Black Snake Moan is a dark navy blue with heavy multi-colored shimmer. Wow, this one is beautiful. It nearly covers in one coat it’s so thick and creamy. Excellent color, excellent formula. Love it.
Boom Boom
Boom Boom is a light robin’s egg blue with silver shimmer. Very pretty color. Before you ask how it compares to Dance from the Rhythm side I shall tell you. It’s a deeper and more greyed out blue. Not as vivid. Great formula and just two coats.
Back Door Man
Back Door Man is a medium blue mega-metallic with shimmer. This is a fabulous blue metallic. I cannot think of one I have liked nearly as much recently. I’m not a huge metallic nail polish fan anymore, but I truly love this one. Barely any issues with streaking, and the coverage was like butter. Perfect in two coats.
Ball and Chain
Ball and Chain is a medium cool blue with pink and blue shimmer. Really pretty shade, another one that was like butter when applying it. What can I say, I really like this one also! This was two coats.
Overall: Another really nice collection, especially if you love blue! For me the stand-out must-haves are Stone Crazy, Black Snake Moan, Back Door Man and Ball and Chain. But I also really like Boom Boom. The only pass because of the formula for me is Hoochie Coochie Man.

This is a lovely bunch! I think sooner or later I’ll have to get a blue nail polish just to prove it doesn’t clash so horribly with my skin tone like what I’ve always believed it would!

I like seeing the blues in the blue bottles all lined up! Nothing I have to have, but I think I like this half of the collection better. I think I like Black Snake Moan the best, with Back Door Man (?)) second, and Stone Crazy third.

I’m not sure I’d buy this collection because I don’t wear a lot of blue nail polish…but I love the collection! I think the colors look really great together and it makes me want to sing the blues! I love the metallic one (but I love metallics)!

I was most excited for Hoochie Coochie Man, and then I saw it had issues and I got sad. None of the others pull me in enough, too bad!
I love the shimmer in Ball and Chain…Black Snake Moan is pretty, too (and it makes me think of the movie, which is pretty great).

Back Door Man totally knocked my socks off! WOW!!! Gorgeous! I feel like I don't give foils enough love…but I think Back Door Man is getting the majority of my love out of all the polishes in this collection!
I'm also loving Black Snake Moan! All those twinkling sparkles against the deep luminous navy…yes please! Ball and Chain is lemming worthy as well; the beautiful shade and the delicate sparkles in the finish are so lovely! Urgh, this whole collection is super duper pretty (except Hoochie Coochie Man). I adore blue polish and these are really special! <3

Ooh! I love BB Couture, you’re right, they make such interesting colours! I love that it doesn’t phase them when people call their colours ‘ugly’, I’ll take a cool, original colour to another red, pink or nude any day. Even their blues are great, I mean, there are already a million or two sky blue cremes. I think I’m going to need all of these, and the Rythym half, too!
