New from Tarte this summer and just in time to get your body bronzed like a Greek statue (huh?) is Amazon Bronze Amazonian Clay and Annatto Body Bronzer! Quite the mouthful, no?

So what is this product? It’s a gigantic body bronzer that comes in a really nice leather-like palette with a bronze crocodile print. Inside the palette is a large powder puff for an easy application.

As you can see it’s a pretty large size bronzer at 0.70 oz.

The shade is a fantastic one for fair skinned ladies such as myself. Not too dark at all and a very flattering shade of a golden bronze. It has just a very slight hint of shimmer that you hardly see.

It’s super easy to apply, just grab some with the powder puff and tap away onto the skin. It’s not chalky whatsoever and not streaky either.

On a day to day basis I don’t use bronzers mainly because I am lazy. But if I were ever to go on vacation again (EVER? AGAIN?) I definitely prefer a quick and easy to use type like this over a lotion where you have to worry about streaks and dry time.

I think this is also great for your face as long as you are subtle with application!

Availability: Sephora, Tarte, Ulta.

Pricing: $37.00 for 0.70 oz.

When you use bronzers, do you prefer liquid or powder?

  • I’m not sure how I feel about powder bronzers for the body – I would probably only ever apply it on my chest. Am I missing the boat on something fab here?

    • Just depends on your preference really. I didn’t notice any rub-off on clothing or anything when I tried it on my arms and it was so easy. I just felt like it was less messy than a liquid for whatsoever reason.

Hmmm, I’ve never used bronzers before. I’m always afraid they will ruin my clothes or that ill look like snooki. I have used lorac tantalize as a highlight on the cheek bones. I think that’s as far as I would go.

  • Ooo tempting! I’m more of a powder bronzer person, just because I’ve heard too many horror stories about bronzing lotion turning people orange and can’t even be washed off easily afterwards! My body gets tanned faster than my face though, so I never really use a bronzer on it (maybe just on my neck and around the collarbone), but this surely looks neat!

I have this bronzer. I got it from one of those Ulta trial sized kits. I think it was only like $10 for the whole kit. It doesn’t work as a bronzer on me but it is an awesome highlight.

  • That colour is so pretty!

You know what? I bought a few bronzers in the past few years. I always thought that I’d get around to trying them eventually..but…nope! They’re still brand new and unopened. :S Your post reminded me (yet again) about something that I need to bust open. Hehe!

  • I really only use bronzers on my face. I use gradual self-tanners on the body, I think it’s the L’Oreal Sublime brand that’s really nice. I also like Jergens Natural Glow!
