Misa Hot Summer for Summer 2012 Swatches, Review and…GIVEAWAY!
Misa Hot Summer is the new summer 2012 collection featuring six new nail lacquer shades.
These shades are bright and bold – some shimmery some creamy. All great shades for those hot summer days and nights.
The formula was good if not a little strange with the shimmery ones. The tended to dry matte for whatever reason. But that’s not really a bad thing since a top coat makes it all shiny again. The cremes were thick, creamy and luscious.

Pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac is a bright candy-colored pink shimmer. While it’s thick, it’s also is a little sheer. I used three coats but you can still slightly see my nail line. This is a really pretty pink shade though, and flattering on my skin tone. It does dry a bit matte as you can kind of see here but again, a top coat makes it shiny!
Double Dutch
Double Dutch is a soft lavender creme. This is the only one that isn’t a bold bright shade, but more subtle and subdued. It’s a lavender that is on the pinker side. Nice formula, it covered in just two thin coats.
Good To Be Green
Good To Be Green is a bright apple green creme. I love this color, definitely my favorite one. It’s bright, shiny, creamy and gorgeous in just two coats.
Skinny Dipping
Skinny Dipping is an aquamarine blue shimmer. This is really much better in person. The shimmer is a lighter blue and even though after three coats it’s still a little sheer, it’s a fairly unique blue.
BubblePop
BubblePop is a pink/coral shimmer. Another one I really like. Very pretty shade and great shimmer. This one covered better than Pink Cadillac in three coats.
So HOT In Sunglasses
So HOT In Sunglasses is a bright orange creme. This nearly was one coat it’s so opaque! Super shiny, great formula.

You’d think I’d say the green or aqua one is my fav, but I have to say that Pink Cadillac is. It’s just such a bright, shimmery neon-ish warm pink that it just grabs my eye.

I think these are all really pretty shades, but I would love to try “So HOT in Sunglasses” as this is the first time that I have seen an orange shade that looks like it might actually work with my cool skintone. It’s really frustrating not to be able to wear ” the color of the season”! Thank you.
I love the Double Dutch shade; it’s a bubble gummy hue without being overpoweringly girly. I could wear it casually. Good to be Green is also a pretty shade.

i really like Pink Cadillac. It’s bright and will be perfect for summer (if we have one). The blue is also very beautiful.
I’ve just recently discovered and fell in love with Misa. I’ve been aching to try some more colors, and from this lineup, BubblePop grabs my interest. I just love a pinky coral polish, and the shimmer in this one makes it even better.

It’s so hard to decide because all the colors are so nice. It has to be between Double Dutch and Good to Be Green since I don’t have any colors like them in my nail polish collection (which is strange, because I have a lot).

my favorites are double dutch and so hot in shades because i’ve been loving cremes lately. i tend to not like neons, but for some reason i love coral-toned neons or red-orange neons.
Well all of them are pretty awesome but I would have to say that…. skinny dipping is my fav. I love blue nail polishes but there’s something about that one. Its a lovely bright blue. It reminds me of the pool where I spend my summer. And the way it shimmers. Its like there’s little crystals in it. Plus I love the name. It has meaning for me

OOOOOOHHH, I just LOVE Good To Be Green! I’m a real sucker for those shades of green (or, well, all shades of green if I must be honest).
So HOT in Sunglasses is amazing! I love reds of all kinds, and even though you describe this as a bright orange, it seems like the perfect summer polish to go with my love of classic ’50s style nails.
