The Look For Less: Issue 2 – MAC Viva Glam Nicki & Wet n Wild Pinkerbell
One of the hottest looks for spring and summer is a bright pink lip. Something about bright pink just screams WARMER DAYS!
Right now my favorite ways to wear a bright pink lipstick is with hardly any eye makeup. I think it’s going to be my “look” this season. I just love how incredibly simple it is to do. And also, it’s kind of perfect for hot lazy days when you don’t feel like spending an hour working some fancy eyeshadow/eyeliner look in a bathroom with no windows, sweating to death. I can’t be alone in the windowless bathroom can I? 
So today I have two bright pink lipsticks that are really popular right now. MAC Viva Glam Nicki and Wet n Wild Pinkerbell. They are incredibly similar, but one is much more expensive than the other.

See how similar they are? It’s hard to tell in just the lip photos, but when you see a full face photo you can see that Nicki has a slightly more warm tone to it than Pinkerbell does. It’s a touch more peachy. But it’s very very close.
When comparing formulas I have to say Nicki is the better one. Pinkerbell feels a bit more dry and not as moisturizing in the long run as Nicki.
You get really great coverage and staying power with both of them. They are super saturated, bright and perfect for right now.

I bought pinkerbell just the other day and it looks HORRIBLE on me. I took it off almost immediately. I think i need a blue based pinky coral for summer this bright pink doesn’t work for me. I do love a bright fuchsia though. I’ve been wearing Revlon Fuchsia a lot lately.

I think I prefer the cooler tones of Pinkerbell. They’re both lovely, though! I really like the idea of a hot pink lip paired with minimal eye makeup for the summer. Great post- thanks for sharing!

I think I actually like Nicki better, but won’t be buying either, lol. I don’t think that color is going to work on me.
I like Nicki better only because it is warmer, but I don’t think either of them is warm enough for my olive, dark tan skin. Bring on the bright corals though!

I absolutley love the 20102 viva glam niki lipstick by Mac!! I’ve been wearing it for about 4 months and I hope it never ever is discontinued!
I’m going to have to start stock piling it as I can afford it. I’ll but one every two months hopefully that will hold me a while.
