Sonia Kashuk Spring 2012 Nail Colour Swatches & Review

Hello! I feel like I have been away awhile but I really wasn’t. I told myself I would completely stay offline the entire week while on my ‘staycation’, but of course I didn’t. When I am home 95% of the time, I cannot help but wander into my office or turn on my iPad and check everything. I think if I actually went away somewhere I could control myself better! But it feels good to be back on track and back to business.
Did you know that Sonia Kashuk has six Nail Colours out this spring at Target? Well now you do!
- Fairy Princess – mint green with blue shimmer
- Purparazzi – bright purple creme
- Dream of Genie – bright watermelon pink creme
- Hot Pursuit – orange/red creme
- Tango Mango – bright coral creme
- Golden Ticket – pale gold metallic
I checked out four of the colors and fell madly in love with one of them, but all were nice. Formula-wise, all were very easy to apply and creamy except the one I liked the most. Go figure!

Fairy Princess

Fairy Princess
Fairy Princess is a mint green with blue shimmer running throughout. Gorgeous color and not like anything else I own. I was really excited to discover this one had shimmer because initially I thought it was just a creme. The mint green isn’t too harsh, it’s easier to wear than some other mint shades that look too harsh or overly green. This is more of a milky green, and the blue shimmer only adds to the gorgeousness. Very mermaid-esque! The formula was kind of a bear though. It was thick and a little sticky feeling. I used three coats only because I didn’t go thick enough at first. Normally I would say two medium-thick coats would be enough. I still love it.

Purparazzi
Purparazzi is a bright violet purple creme. It looks a little more violet in this photo than it is in real life. In person you see more of a purple shade. Very pretty and bright, if not super unique. Great formula, just two easy coats.

Golden Ticket
Golden Ticket is a pale gold foil. It’s also infused with some small coppery looking particles in it, which I like. It makes it more interesting than a standard gold foil. It’s what I classify as a C3PO gold.
Great formula and two coats.

Tango Mango
Tango Mango is a super bright coral creme. Ok so this photo makes it look NEON, which it isn’t. It also makes it look more of a dark orange, which it isn’t. Definitely coral. My camera spazzed out with this one. Either way it’s a great bright color for spring and was two coats.
Overall: I liked all of these colors but think Fairy Princess is definitely the most unique and simply a must have for anyone who loves green or iridescent shimmery type colors.
Availability: Target.
Pricing: $4.79.
What do you think about Sonia Kashuk’s spring nail collection? Is Fairy Princess now on your next Target shopping list?

Fairy Princess and Golden Ticket are my must-haves! Tango Mango is adorable, but I think I already have a couple from this season that look around the same

I love that green, it’s very unique!
Fairy Princess looks like it might be close to Dior Waterlily – maybe slightly bluer? Anyway, am stoked to see that I won’t have to shell out $23 for a shimmery mint color
Oh, I love Fairy Princess! No surprise as I am a sucker for greens and blues. I already have so many, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist that one if I see it at Target.
These are all really pretty. I think Fairy Princess is amazing though!
Fairy Princess looks like it glows! Good price on these.

I have been eyeing tango mango at Target for a couple weeks now, and now I think I need it as well as Fairy Princess! I hadn’t wanted Fairy Princess before but now I’m dying to go pick them both up
Just bought Fairy Princess on Friday, but haven’t worn it yet.
I like Fairy Princess a lot! Definitely on my list. I love green nail polish.

Fairy Princess looks stunning! And I love the name — kinda campy, but here obviously more literal.

These are so pretty! I’m not a fan of Golden Ticket, but I really like the others, especially for the price!

I have a lot of green polishes and I have nothing like Fairy Princess either. Also, does Golden Ticket look like OPI Designer de Better in person?

I was thinking the same thing, maybe we could get a comp between Designer De Better and Golden Ticket? =0)
I only have a mini bottle of designer de better, so I think I’ll try to pick up golden compass tonight and see for myself.

Not close to the same. Designer de better is a cooler gold and the copper flecks seem larger or more pronounced. Golden compass is warmer. They do have w very similar foil finish, but that is where the similarities end.
so pretty! these 4 shades are gorgeous! I especially love Fairy Princess and Purparazzi!!!

Oh yeah, they sure are! And at less than $5.00, I can buy two—the green and the purple are waiting for me. Gorgeous. BTW, which was the one you had issues with? Can you divulge? ;+)

Wow, these are all fabulous! Fairy Princess is definitely the standout for me. I love secret shimmer.
love them all, especially fairy princess! too bad about the formula though :/

These are all very pretty. I love the shimmer in Fairy Princess, and for the color and price it would be worth putting up with a less-than-perfect formula. The copper pieces in Golden Ticket are really cool and I don’t have anything like it. I’m pretty obsessed with orange polish lately so Tango Mango is awesome. And purple is my favorite color so Purparazzi is a must-have too. Guess I’ll be making a trip to Target soon.
My Target gets nail polish vandalized – you know, everyone painting with nail polish people will buy. Ruuuuuude. Target keeps up well though, and I’ll be getting Tango Mango. Not Fairy Princess though… I prefer citrus shades.

Yup probably getting all of these next time I’m at Target! I love that red, but I always buy gorgeous reds and then never wear them! I will DEFINITELY wear that amazing shimmery mint green, though! That is right up my alley.

I bough fairy princess after I saw this post. It is gorgeous! My happiness with the color is only dampened by the formula. It was difficult to paint with and a bear to remove. I use a “natural” polish remover and while it’s more work regardless of the polish, this was extra-difficult to remove.
. Thanks for showing it!
Despite all that, I am glad I have this color. It’s so unique.
Fairy Princess does look awesome! Golden Ticket kind of reminds me of a lighter version of OPI Warm and Fozzie.
