Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Color with SPF 16 for Spring 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review
New this spring from Sonia Kashuk at Target are fourteen lipsticks called Satin Luxe Lip Color with SPF 16 Suncreen.
These “weightless” lip colors help to soften, smooth, protect and hydrate your lips. They are anti-aging, packed with Ceramide 2 and Palmitoyl Peptide to help reduce wrinkles. They contain Brown Seaweed Extract, which is a fatty marine botanical which helps preserve elasticity.
Why SPF 16 instead of the standard 15? No clue, but I’ll take it! These are formulated to have no scent or taste.

- Soft Nude – Muted peachy beige
- Barely Nude – Muted pink beige
- Nude Pink – Pale muted pink
- Sunkissed – Warm muted coral
- Currant – Deep plum brown
- Blushing – Warm pink
- Roseberry – Warm raspberry
- Sugar Plum – Pinkish plum
- Rosette – Reddish pink
- Violetta – Bold pink violet
- Vivid Coral – Bold coral
- Pink Punch – Bold pink
- Ruby Rose – Bright raspberry reddish pink
- Classic Red – Pure red
Let’s talk packaging. I love these square tubes! Something about a square tube pleases the photographer in me because they look neat and don’t roll around. But also there is a cool feature in the cap. The exact lipstick shade is shown and it’s totally accurate so you can really see what you are getting before buying.
Pink Punch, Barely Nude, Classic Red, Violetta
These lip colors are extremely, extremely soft and moisturizing. They feel very light and slick going on, almost like a petroleum type lip balm does. Really amazing. The color payoff is great also, more than you would expect from feeling how “airy” they are.
Pink Punch is bright and fun. Like melted strawberry juice on the lips! Love it for warmer weather months.
Barely Nude is a warm brown/pink. It looks more brown on me than pink.
Classic Red is a bright blue-based red. Fabulous and amazing. Perfect red shade.
Violetta is a pinky/purple color. On my lips it looks more like a warm purple/brown.

Overall: These are really, really nice lipsticks. I love the texture because they are so comfortable to wear, and also love the SPF 16. I highly recommend these!

The color payoff looks really nice and they look nice and shiny. However I cant imagine that they last very long on the lips????? Any comment on that? I really like the looks of these!!
They last 2-3 hours on me, which is typical for most lipsticks. I usually only comment on wear when something wears REALLY long or short.
I really like Pink Punch and I think I want to check out Vivd Coral!

I think I’m going to buy Violetta and I’ll check out Sugar Plum too. I’m a pale face. The price is so good I’ll get more than one.
I’m a sucker for a GOOD red, and I love square tubes and bottles. I’m glad you note that the cap color is accurate – it should cut down on regrettable buys. (But am I the only one who thought the tops were the bottoms? Most lipsticks that show color like that have it in the bottom. I’m not complaining, as this makes more sense, but I expect the klutz in me to open these upside down occasionally and make a mess.)
