Lookie what just landed on my desk! MAC Fashion Sets is a new limited edition collection for those who are super color coordinated. Or just sometimes want to be. 
This collection was created from the most popular shades across the globe. MAC decided to create a three piece collection from seven of their famous lip products. Each set contains a lipstick, lipglass and nail lacquer.
Here are the top selling shades and countries where they rank #1:
- Spice – a best-selling lip pencil in Canada, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, UK, Venezuela, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Travel Retail.
- Myth – #1 selling lipstick in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Estonia and Finland.

Myth, Snob, Girl About Town, Russian Red (Lipglass)
Myth is a neutral nude shade that leans a bit peach/coral on my skin. I don’t love the lip line settling this shade does on me in this form.
Snob is a neutral light pink. Pretty shade, but again with the lip line settling.
Girl About Town is a blue-based bright fuchsia. Love it!!!!! Shimmery and vivid. Perfect for this season.
Russian Red is a neutral red. Super bright, super red, super glossy. Gorgeous.

Myth lipstick (satin) is a really pale peach/nude shade on me. It nearly blanks out my lips in person. Not my fav on me.
Snob lipstick (satin) is a very pretty lavender looking pink.
Girl About Town lipstick (amplified) is a deeper shade of pink than the lipglass is. So pretty and shiny, I love this one.
Russian Red is my favorite red lipstick ever. Utter perfection.

Myth
Myth nail lacquer is a nude/beige creme. This was streaky and uneven. Even after three coats I couldn’t get it perfect. Too matchy matchy for my skin tone but would look better on darker ones I think.
Snob
Snob nail lacquer is a medium pink creme. This was a little sheer and I needed three coats. Still uneven though.
Girl About Town
Girl About Town nail lacquer is a bright fuchsia creme. Pretty shade and nice even application. I only used two coats.
Russian Red
Russian Red nail lacquer is a bright red creme. If you are looking for a classic red nail lacquer, this one would be a great choice! Nice formula, even and just two coats.
Overall: I don’t normally do matching colors of anything, but I do occasionally like the idea of matching lips and nails. I really love Girl About Town and Russian Red for the lipstick, lipglass and nail lacquers. Myth and Snob are harder to pull off colors I think, and the nail lacquers were fairly patchy.

The Girl About Town lip colour is the one I think would actually be flattering on me. What a fun, bright shade!
And Myth looks completely different (and better) on you than it does on me. I bought the lipstick a long time ago and haven’t figured out how to make it work yet.

Loving the way Girl About Town looks! To be honest, I think I like it more as the lipglass/lipstick than the nail color. Looks amazing on you!
I really like Russian Red also (as a lipstick/glass) but am a bit afraid of such red lipstick, even though every girl needs one.

What I really like about these is that the permanent lipsticks are getting more attention, which I think they deserve! I’m not really a gloss girl, and MAC nail polish is too expensive for me, so I probably won’t buy anything but lipstick. It did inspire me to finally buy Rebel though – which has been on my wishlist forever.

I love matching lips and nails whenever I can. ‘Girl about town’ and ‘Russian red’ are definitely my favourite of these.
I think I’ll really enjoy Girl About Town! I’ve worn matchy-matchy lip color and nail polish with Dior Addict Extreme and Dior Vernis several times. I think it’s actually quite fun, and I’m glad the trend is starting!

russian red lippie is #1 selling in singapore..? really? most women in town seem to be wearing conservative pinks and nudes.. o_O
really love the girl about town lippie though! not sure if i’ll be wearing it much though.

My hubby has coined a term for dull, lifeless, colourless women who give you a dead fish handshake. He calls them moth-women. Myth is for moth women and not surprisingly this is the best seller in Poland. We have a large population of moth-women here, hahahaha.

I don’t know why I haven’t yet tried Russian Red. It’s one of the colours I know I’ll love, but me and MAC lipsticks just don’t get a long very well which explains why I only have 3 in spite f being a lipstick junkie. Next time I pass by a Mac store I’ll have a look at RR and Girl about town. It looks like such a wearable happy colour. I particularly like the lipglass versions. They make your lips look so juicy without sitting in the lines (which I hate).
