Spoiled by Wet n Wild Shimmery Nail Colors

Spoiled Nail Color is a line by Wet n Wild and is sold exclusively at CVS. There are 72 (!!) shades in this line out now, which is pretty great.
The colors and finishes go from cremes, to neons, to shimmers to glitters. There are nudes, blues, greens, blacks and everything in-between!
Today I have four of the shimmery shades and soon, some of the neons.
One thing I will say is that the brushes that come with these are weird and frequently wonky. They are cut at a strange angle and some of them had super long brush strands sticking out that I had to yank out. Not the easiest brushes to work with but then again, they’re only $1.99 each so…you get what you pay for in this case.

Plenty Of Fish In The Sea
Plenty Of Fish In The Sea is a shimmery sea blue. This almost has a frosty finish to it. Not too streaky, pretty good coverage and formula.

Shrimp On A Barbie
Shrimp On A Barbie is a medium pink/coral shade with gold glitter flecks. Really, really pretty color and I love the coral/gold combo. This was a little thick and I definitely recommend waiting a bit in-between coats because you will get cuticle drag and it tends to pool at the tips if you don’t. This was three coats.

Are Mermaids Real?
Are Mermaids Real? is a smoky purple base with heavy gold and pink flecks of glitter. Really another gorgeous color here. Love everything about it. This had the same formula as Shrimp On A Barbie, so take your time applying it. Three coats.

I’m Baroque
I’m Baroque is a medium bronze/taupe with heavy gold, pink and green shimmer. Nice formula, easy to work with and no issues. Kind of not that unique perhaps. This was three coats.

So these are the brushes. See how on the left it’s cut strangely? A few were like this and a few of the neons had really long strands I had to cut off. Not a fan!
Availability: CVS exclusive.
Pricing: $1.99 each.
What do you think of the Spoiled shimmery nail colors?

Love the color selection, but the brushes are SO wonky! They also have some really cool glitters.. Have you seen Jewel Heist?

LOVE these shades!! I’m going to look for these when I go today, I really do like that they have sooo many shades and dupes of polishes from old Wet n Wild collections

These look like fun and totally worth a try for the price! Best part is all the choices! Can’t wait to check these out in some non-shimmery shades too! Thank you!

So gorgeous, so cheap.. I need them!
‘Shrimp On A Barbie’ and ‘Are Mermaids Real?’ look gorgeous!
I have three of these, Are Mermaids Real right no! Its gorgeous! I have the Shrimp on a Barbie and its brush is HORRID! I am going to have to decant it, it’s that bad. The other two, the one I have on and Cougar Attack are okay. I like this collection, but as far as I know it’s a CVS Exclusive. And you might have to ask them WHERE they put the ‘Spoiled’ display if you have trouble finding it like I did. they had it by other things and not near the nail polish. Weird. Great pics! Thanks for doing a review on these!

I really like Shrimp on the Barbie and Are Mermaids Real! Beautiful colors especially for the price.
I picked up a few of these. Worst polishes ever. The formula is terrible and the brushes are fluffy and just don’t work. The colors are really nice though so it’s really disappointing the be unable to use them.
Hmmmm, a bad brush for nail lacquer is huge turn off. the paint will end up EVERYWHERE. Ive seen these colors in person and they are pretty though.

I love Are Mermaids Real? Such a pretty purple! But the tricky brush and application put me off
I never have patience for anything that takes 3 coats to be honest.

I love all of these! No chance of picking any of these up in Canada, but talk about awesome colours for the price. I love the gold shimmer in “Shrimp on a Barbie” and “Are Mermaids Real”.

‘Plenty of Fish in the Sea’ looks very close to Orly ‘It’s Up to Blue’. Orly’s may be slightly darker. But they both are frosty and have that same sea blue tone.
It’s too bad the brush was so wonky. Makes me hesitant to try any of these, even though the colors are great. I really like ‘Are Mermaids Real?’

I don’t usually like shimmers – I prefer cremes and glitters – but these are quite pretty, especially the purple. I don’t think they seem worth the trouble though, so I’ll probably pass on them.

Oooo Shirmp On A Barbie looks like it could be a dupe for Zoya’s Rica!
Are Mermaids Real? looks great! I’ve seen these at my CVS, but didn’t pay much attention. I’ll have to give them another look.

I’ve been lusting after Are Mermaids Real? for quite a while now. Unfortunately, my CVS is always picked clean so I’ve settled on two different shades. I just check the brush before I buy them and, so far, I get near perfect application even with the crappy brush. Its weird.

Don’t decant or let the wonky brush stop you from purchasing. My advice is to use the brush from an empty bottle of OPI or other “good brush” polish. You can just clean off the brush with acetone before and afterward, screw it back onto the empty bottle and keep using it for any other bad brush polishes you obtain.
I really like Are Mermaids Real, didn’t get it because it reminded me of CG Grape Juice. I also liked Shrimp on a Barbie, but I talked myself out of purchasing it because I’m typically not a pink gal.

The brush is rather weird. Love Are Mermaids Real? & Shrimp On a Barbie. I’d buy those two for sure.
I love these but my CVS only had about 10 bottles left! I liked the brush, it was weird at first.

I LOVE shrimp on the barbie! I wore it with Sephora by OPI matte top coat and it was really cool and lasted a long time
I like the baroque one, I think I’ll have to go get it!
Shrimp on a Barbie is too pretty!!! But I don’t think I would get on well with the brush.
I wish WNW would increase the price by a $1 and improve the brush. That’s pretty much the only thing holding me back from buying one of these.

I really like the Spoiled line. I have several of them and while the brushes aren’t great, I haven’t gotten any REALLY bad ones yet and I can work with them just fine. The only Spoiled polish I bought that I ended up not really liking was the purple jelly with the pink shimmer flakes (I think it’s called Checking Into Rehab). It’s pretty sheer and took 4 coats to get it opaque.
I think I might have to pick up Plenty of Fish in the Sea. I don’t have anything else like it. I’m Baroque looks like it would be pretty when paired with Jewelry Heist.
Annette´s last post…Getting tired of the internet? How is this possible?
I’d really love to see a comparison between Shrimp on the Barbie, WnW Waves of Enchantment (from the Mermaid’s Cove release) and Zoya’s Rica. They all look so close!
As for the brushes, I’m hoping the restocks will be better cut and it was just the initial release that’s SOOOO bad.
The colors are pretty but I don’t know if I could forgive the crappy brushes. They can’t really use the fact that the polishes are $1.99 as an excuse, since Sinful Colors is at the same price point and I’ve never had any issues with their brushes (and I own more of them than any one person should).
