Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review

Spoiled by Wet n Wild1 Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review

Today I’ve got three neon nail colors from Spoiled by Wet n Wild.

Two of these are kind of like neon jellies. They apply sheer, yet build up and have that see-through jelly-like quality. One had some very unexpected and nice shimmer!

But the brushes…Ick! Two of these had a strand like this that I had to yank out. Cheap.

Spoiled by Wet n Wild Did I Dye It Too Blond Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review
Did I Dye It Too Blond?

Did I Dye It Too Blond? is a neon yellow shade. For a yellow, it wasn’t bad on the streaky front. I actually really like this one. The yellow is cool toned and super bright and shiny. Very jelly-ish, and normally I don’t like jellies much. This was two coats.

Spoiled by Wet n Wild Permission To Proceed Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review
Permission To Proceed

Permission To Proceed is a neon lime green with heavy yellow shimmer. I didn’t even see the shimmer in the bottle, so this was a nice surprise! Perfect color for a hot summer day by the pool. icon smile Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review Good formula, just two coats.

Spoiled by Wet n Wild Tip Your Waitress Spoiled by Wet n Wild Neon Nail Color Swatches & Review
Tip Your Waitress

Tip Your Waitress is a neon pink color. This one is uber bright, hurts my eyes just looking at this photo for long! Again with the jelly-like texture and no streaks. This was two coats.

Availability: CVS exclusive.

Pricing: $1.99.

What do we think of the Spoiled neon shades? Do you tend to wear more neon nail polish in hotter months?

Ohmaaan. I love these. Especially Permission To Proceed. Neons are my FAVORITE, I wear them all the time.

  • I own Did I Dye It Too Blond? I’ve only tried it over white polish. It’s too sheer for me to wear alone.

Must get Permission To Proceed next!!!

  • I wish I wore more neons but I honestly don’t! I think I will be branching out soon though! I have Spoiled “I Only Eat Salads” on currently & will be reviewing it soon over on my blog, I love this shade. I too got some wonky freak brushes though!

I like the shimmer in the green enough to buy it even though I have a couple neon greens. I wish that someone would develop a neon blue polish! That would be EPIC!

    March 15, 2012
  • I only have a couple polishes from this brand, and I haven’t tried it yet. Actually I think I only have one. I really like the yellow, but I’m not sure if I’d ever wear it, because I have Illamasqua Rare, and I LOVE it. But for that price, I could justify it even if Rare wins out most the time.

So sad that it’s CVS exclusive :( Then again, it’s not like neons are hard to come by in the summer :)

  • Ohh, Im going to see if my CVS has those yet, I love the green with the shimmer.

Not too fond of most of the Wet & Wild brand due to they barely last on my nail one day if that. Plus W&W pulled out of our area with a # of other drugstore cosmetic brands. Most of you would not recognize the tiny CVS, Rite Aide cosmetics areas we have around these parts. I do like the way all but the yellow look in your photos. And your photos!!!!! WOW!!!! The macro of the brush aberrant strand is really amazing! Just hate when I open a bottle and find a smushed brush. The long strays you can pull out – but the really smushed ones in a $8 bottle is so upsetting.

I actually never wear neons, but I have a few polishes from this brand sitting in my “untried” bin that I’m looking forward to testing out. I just love seeing a bargain brand put out a set of 70-something colors with hardly a dupe to be found! I mean, obviously there are the standard reds, pinks, etc., but there are also a lot of fun and very unique colors which are NOT dupes of, for example, OPI’s most recent collections (*ahem* looking at you Sinful).

  • I don’t like the brushes, but Permission to Proceed sure looks nice! I have some neon shades in my arsenal now, but I haven’t tried any of them yet! I should soon to see how they work on me!

  • I usually reserve neons for my toes, so I don’t have many to compare. Wait, let me clarify a little… I search for just about ANY neon blue I can. There’s just something about it. My only other neons are pinks.

  • Totally love Permission to Proceed after seeing it here. I would have passed this up in a second otherwise. The three Spoiled polishes I purchased recently all had brushes that were haphazardly cut, too!

  • I was able to pick up “did I dye it too blonde?” and “permission to proceed”

While I love both colors, my permission to proceed doesnt have the gold shimmer in it. It just seems to be a standard neon green. But hey I’ll still rock it. Did anyone else have this issue?

      Hi Krissy,

Yes, my Permission to Proceed seems totally different than Kelly’s! Just a bright kind of “standard grass green” jelly, no shimmer, took me three coats to get the color I wanted. It’s OK (I wore it with one coat of Orly’s Here Comes Trouble” over it for St. Patrick’s Day), but definitely not the color I see above!

  • Tip Your Waitress is AMAZING – I am going to look for it. I’m not really a fan of the other two, the shimmer in the green isn’t my thing, and the yellow is too highlighter-y for me, though I can totally imagine some people rocking it.

  • I’m not a fan of neons so the only time I’ve worn them is under a shatter. My friend loves them. Different strokes for different folks. :)

Regarding Spoiled, you can also order them from the website. The shipping fee will probably be less than the cost of gas if your CVS is far away. I have a couple of posts up about Spoiled on my blog if anyone’s interested.

  • Permission to Proceed looks awesome! I know what you mean about the crappy brushes though. I just bought about 6 spoiled polishes last night and I know how they are kinda oddly angled , but each one was only angled on one side…like they just snipped a chunk off one side off and thats it. :/ Hopefully it wont be too much of an issue.

I went to my CVS after this post and found a full display, but no Permission to Proceed. I found it labeled as I’m so Jaded. Did some googling, and I think they are the same thing but mislabeled. Do you know anything regarding this?

I’ve been wavering on Did I Dye It Too Blonde? I am mixed on Spoiled’s results so far. I have Shrimp on A Barbie (untried), Shuffle the Deck (untried), I Only Eat Salads (untried), Permission to Proceed (wearing now, see above), Distant Memory (dried a little flat, but wore silver crackle over it, so it wasn’t an issue); Deeper Dive (untried), The Parking Meteor expired (this one is fantastic, lasted about a week), Trust Fund Baby (untried), Checking Into Rehab (untried), and Jewlery Heist (untried). The shimmers seem to behave a bit better than the cremes, but I guess I’m sticking to trying them out, haha.
