Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in Coastal Surf

Revlon Coastal Surf is a new color in their new Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel line.
I hadn’t really planned on getting any more of the colors in this collection but there I was. With a CVS coupon that said I would get any Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel for $2.00. How could I pass that up?
Luckily I spotted this light sky blue beauty and knew it was going to be the one coming home with me.

Coastal Surf
Coastal Surf is a vivid sky blue creme. Stunning. Magical. Gorgeous. Utter perfection. The formula was so creamy and easy to apply. Three coats for maximum coverage.
I know I own about 12 billion of these kind of blue cremes, but they make me so nostalgic for summer. I probably wear blue in the summer more than any other color.
Makes me want to go swimming in tropical waters STAT!
Stay tuned for a comparison soon between this and another bright blue creme.

This is such a pretty shade! No, not unique, but I still like it. I was just browsing through the Revlon polishes at Walgreens yesterday and I didn’t see this one. Maybe my local store hasn’t gotten it yet…

Hi Ashley,
Twice before I bought other Colorstay shades but never saw this one. Think it’s always sold out!
I’m hesitant to buy Revlon polishes because I find they chip REALLy bad. Do you think they’ve changes their formula with this new packaging?
Hi Courtney,
Hard for me to tell I can’t wear anything more than 2-3 days without it chipping, no matter the brand…
I LOVE shades like these, but they are a little too cool toned for my skin.

oh wow that’s really beautiful on you! i haven’t loved any of the colorstay swatches i’ve seen, but this one is a whole different ball game. so so pretty!
Once it goes on sale, I’m definitely scooping this one up! (Or maybe once I see it as my willpower goes out the window when faced with blues like this.) It’s not limited edition, is it? Just a new release, right?

Hi Carmela,
I believe it’s part of the perm collection
Yes, it’s part of the original release shades. The Revlon site has some lousy color chips of all the shades out. You at least know the names. They have a few in the line that have amazing finishes, so not all are creams. Rite Aide tends to have a smaller company display of shades. Most Walgreens have a display with places for all the shades in this line.
Watch for those sales. There was one a week ago at Rite Aide where these were included with a 40% off sale in the cosmetics. That’s the best I have seen so far. Walgreens had a Buy one full price get next half off and then a $1 off coupon on each bottle. They are not cheap. They range in the $8.50/bottle area.
Love this shade– it reminds me of the summer sky here in Seattle. Gorgeous!

Hi Micki,
Nothing wears longer than 2-3 days on me so I can’t really say for sure!
Nothing wears longer on me than 2 days either until Shellac and now these from Revlon.
I feel for this line hard once I bought my first bottle. While it did not last 11 days on me per their claim, I had not used their base or top coat they say needs to go on to get up to 11 days. I took mine off on day 9 only because of nail growth line. I am so sold on this line. I have watched for sales and gathered up most of the shades offered now. Not only does it not chip off and lasts a long time, I have some kind of sensitivity with all polishes. I need to leave them off for about 4 days before my nails recover from any polish or they turn into thin wafers and peal like crazy. Not with this brand. I take it off and put on some nail strengthening cream by Barielle and pouf, my nails are great and ready for another layer long as I keep using the new Revlon Colorstay. They have an amazing green in this line called Bonzi. It’s just begging for you green fans. And thanks to Kelly we have seen this pretty blue. The line is basic right now as it just launched right after holiday. But more colors will be released as ltd collections. It’s not going to last like a professional Shellac – but it’s darn good and also way cheaper! No lamp needed.
I want to dive right into this bottle. I’m longing for some water this color. I’m not going to buy it since I also have many bottles this shade. Sure is pretty.
This is beautiful!! I’m crazy about this creamy sky blue. So bright! Definitely a great summer colour.

I only own two Colorstay polishes and this is one of them. (The other is Rain Forest.) This is such a pretty color and it’s slightly different from the other light blues I own.
