Revlon Coastal Surf vs. Zoya Yummy

Happy weekend!

Today I’ve got a comparison post of two sky blue cremes: Revlon Coastal Surf and Zoya Yummy.

Both are sky blue, both are cremes, both cover in two-three coats and are really gorgeous colors.

Pointer & ring are Coastal Surf, Middle & pinky are Zoya Yummy

Close aren’t they? I actually had to write down which was which in case I forgot!

The differences are…not much. Yummy is a teeny tiny bit darker of a blue, but it’s barely noticeable. In fact I am not sure I am even seeing it correctly.

The formula for both is creamy and easy to work with. Either two thick coats or three slightly thinner ones cover.

Zoya is $8.00 for 0.5 oz and Revlon is 0.4 oz for around $5-7 depending on where you find it. You get more with Zoya, but pay more. Revlon tends to be a lot easier to find and more is accessible.

Pointer & ring are Coastal Surf, Middle & pinky are Zoya Yummy

Middle is Zoya Yummy, ring is Revlon Coastal Surf

Verdict:

I am calling them dupes. There really is no discernible difference between the two!

Winner:

I vote for Revlon just because it’s easier to find and less expensive.

What do you think about these? Do you see any difference at all?

-Kelly

Wow I can’t Tell the difference at all! Definitely dupes! I already have Yummy and it really is beautiful color!

I can see how Yummy is a bit darker – but I would definitely purchase coastal surf since it would be more accessible. thanks for the comparison!

The Zoya is accessible during promos. Lol..

But yes, these are close. I do see a slight difference in that last picture. Yummy is a bit darker.

Wow, those are almost exactly alike. I do think I get better wear out of Zoya polishes than Revlon though. I’m wearing a Zoya now that I’ve had on for 9 days with minimal wear!

Awesome comparison! I love the brightness of Coastal Surf, thanks for sharing this! What is the wear like on the Revlon Color stays? I do see a difference though, the Zoya is a bit darker.

Great comparison post, Kelly! I couldn’t see the difference between the two, so I agree that they look like dupes. Both are really pretty and perfect for this time of year.

Dupe and no doubt about it. Makes me wonder if they use the same lab to make them.

The more I see that Revlon color, the more I want it, but I’m going to have to order it online b/c I’m not finding it anywhere around here :/ It looks like Blue Moon ice cream (which is one of my favs)!

I vote for Revlon as well. You can barely tell the difference. So close. Now I want to buy that particular blue. SO appropriate for spring!

These are REALLY dupes! I have the feeling that when people call things dupes there are usually still subtle differences you can see, but not with these two!

What are the ingredients for the Revlon vs the Zoya one? I vote for Zoya just because they’re one of my favorite brands :)

I am really loving the new long wear (up to 11 days) Revlon Colorstay. This blue is a fav of mine. I just keep collecting the shades in this line when I hit the sales of buy one get the next 50% off – and on top of that often there is a $1 off per bottle. I am still missing 3 that I want but I know where to get them – long drive and not gas worthy just to get polish. I have to get a group of things to do off in that direction – like go to Traders, Sally’s, eat at In and Out!

These polishes are so pretty! That blue is to die for.
    I can’t see ANY difference.

  • March 25, 2012

They’re so close! I love Zoya’s formula, but Revlon is easy for me to procure.

ahhh! I keep looking at Coastal Surf but then put it back because the brush looks like those fat brushes I tend to HATE. But I LOVE the color!!! maybe I can get my hands on Yummy during Zoya’s next promo :) thanks for the comparison!
