butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches

Hallo!

butter LONDON (I don’t know why I am always compelled to write it the way they have it on their bottles) has a new spring/summer collection out featuring five new shades!

I checked out four of the five (the one missing is Slapper, a bright teal creme) and I really like them! Interesting colors, not very common and really good formula for all.

Trout Pout

Trout Pout is a pale cantaloupe/coral creme. Honestly I didn’t think much of this one in the bottle but absolutely love it on my nails. It’s not pink, It’s not peach. It’s not orange. It’s not coral. It’s a perfect mix of them all and super spring-like and flattering. Great formula, just two coats. I adore it.

Zoya Beach & Surf Comparisons

Last week when I posed swatches of the new Zoya Beach & Surf collections for summer, some of you asked in the comments how certain ones compared to other colors. So I decided to do a few comparisons for ya!

I’ve got Zoya Arizona pitted against Zoya Jancyn.

Zoya Carly against Zoya Valerie. I tried to also find Jem to compare, but for the life of me I cannot find my bottle of it!

Zoya Wednesday against Essie Turks & Caicos, Sephora by OPI Read My Palm and Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion.

The Lipstick League Weekend Links

Question of the Week: – What is your favorite spring fragrance?

Answer: I actually don’t change my fragrances according to season. Most of what I wear is light and spring-like anyway (when I remember to wear it!). Some of my favorites are Stila Spring Blossom Rollerball, Tiffany (original), Very Hollywood from Michael Kors and Ring My Bella from Benefit.

Krasey Beauty – takes you behind the scenes at her best friend’s wedding. Check out the products she used for her bridesmaid beauty look!

Nouveau Cheap – is totally obsessed with dry shampoos, so she naturally had to give the new Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo a whirl.

Pink Sith – has found a foundation from Edward Bess isn’t what it seems in the pan. It’s far better!
