Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creamsicle and Gumdrop Swatches & Review

Revlon Lip Butter Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creamsicle and Gumdrop Swatches & Review

By now, I think nearly all of us who have access to them have purchased a Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter (or eight), right? I know I have!

In fact I think these are easily one of the most popular lip products of 2011. My first review of six of the colors is still my #1 most viewed post and it was written 5 months ago!

I decided there were still a couple more colors I wanted to add to my “repertoire” so I picked ‘em up. They are Creamsicle and Gumdrop, and they turned out to be my favorite colors thus far.

Looking Wistful

Sammy Wistful 2 Looking Wistful

In my living room I have a desk that I bought from Craigslist. It’s in my living room with a blanket covering it because there is no room in my garage, and I need to paint it for my office.

Question of the Week

QOTW 3 2 12 Question of the Week

Hello and happy end of the week!

Strangely, I am not really looking forward to this weekend. I mean, I am looking forward to NOT being at work, but tomorrow I have two long appointments. First is a hair appointment, which normally I look forward to, but this time not as much. I am in that in-between stage with growing it out, and it’s driving me insane. I hate it. I hate it short, I hate it long, I hate it in-between. Also, I am bored with the color (already) but have no idea what to do. Then after that 2 1/2 hour appointment, I have to get my taxes done. SNOOZE.

I hope your weekend looks brighter than mine!

MAC Mineralize Perfectly Finished for Spring 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review

MAC Mineralize Perfectly Finished MAC Mineralize Perfectly Finished for Spring 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review

Here is a sentence I never thought I would say. MAC Mineralize Foundation/Loose covers really nicely and doesn’t look powdery at all.

But wait, let’s back up a minute.

MAC Mineralize Perfectly Finished collection is out this spring and it contains nine shades of Mineralize Foundation/Loose (Extra Light, Light, Light Plus, Medium, Medium Plus, Medium Dark, Medium Deep, Dark, Dark Deep), and fifteen shades of Mineralize Concealer (NW 15, NC15, NC20, NC30, NW20, NW25, NC42, NW30, NC35, NW35, NC45, NW40, NC50, NC50. NW45) .

The Loose Foundation has been around awhile, but the concealers are new.

I’ve never tried this foundation, and I’m not really one to believe that a loose foundation could possibly do anything. I fully, completely expected this to A. look way powdery and settle into fine lines and B. cover nothing and C. add nothing positive to my complexion. But I was wrong! I think I actually said out loud “holy crap” when I started applying it over bare skin.
