Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer for Spring 2012 Swatches & Review

Short on time? Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer might be what you need.
These lacquers come in six new shades and are meant to be a one-coat super fast drying formula. The colors not shown are Black Swift (black), Jiffy Orange (bright orange) and Rapid Cherry (bright red).
For me none of these were really one-coaters. They were either too uneven to just do one coat or not quite as opaque as I would like. So I used two on all of them.

Yellow Whiz
Yellow Whiz is a bright cool yellow. I know it looks warm in this pic but in actuality, it’s cooler toned. Bright but not neon. Streaky, but not nearly as bad as a lot of yellow polishes out there are.

On The Spot
On The Spot is a White-Out white creme. But a creamy white, not chalky. Streaky but again, not as bad as some white polishes I have used.

Hot Pink Frenzy
Hot Pink Frenzy is a bright, warm pink with very subtle pink/blue shimmer running through it. Really gorgeous! The shimmer definitely made this the most interesting one here for me. Great formula, no streaks at all. Buttery.

Violet Dash
Violet Dash is a medium violet creme. Pretty, good formula, nothing all that unique though.

Fast Fuchsia
Fast Fuchsia is a bright, cool-toned fuchsia pink creme. Pretty, great formula but again, maybe not that unique.
Overall:
While these do dry fast, I’m not so sure most people would be satisfied with just one coat. However, even using two isn’t that much, and you get a better result and it still dries fast.
Availability: Milani and drugstores.
Pricing: $4.99.
Have you tried any of these? Have you ever truly found a quick-dry polish that covered completely in just one coat?

Do you think these would be good for stamping? That white and yellow look great.

Hi D,Anna,
Yes actually I do think they would be good for that!
I’m wearing yellow whiz right now but have had difficulty applying it both times I’ve worn it. D’Anna I’ve used violet dash to stamp before, it worked OK… not at the top of my list.

Wow, love Hot Pink Frenzy! That’s the kind of color that’s flattering on all skin tones, I think. Can’t wait to pick it up!

Agreed, it seems like it would be really flattering to both light and dark skin tones and everything in between! A good one to wear year round…I know I find myself reaching for certain colors only when I have a tan because they just look terrible when my skin’s at its lightest in the winter months.
I’mreally impressed with how even the yellow and white swatches look! That yellow would be perfect for so many ‘school colors’ mani’s that would require a yellow…not too sunny or neon.
I’ve eyed all these colors in the stores a couple times but I just never buy them. I did get Rapid Cherry though and, although I haven’t worn it yet, I swatched one nail and I’m pretty sure it was a one coater. It was pretty thick in a good way and stayed where I wanted it to.

I’ve yet to buy a yellow polish because of the streakiness factor, but maybe I’ll dive in with Yellow Whiz. It’s pretty!

Hot Pink Frenzy & Fast Fuschia look great for Spring/Summer. Might even be brave & try the yellow. Haven’t used any rapid dry colors before.
I’m not too crazy about any of these- they don’t really stand out, or seem unique. Although Hot Pink Frenzy does look like a great summer colour!

I would probably get the white one just for nail art because most of the white’s I’ve played with are chalky and gross. That one looks nice. And the pink shimmer is pretty too.
I am interested! I have had a hard time finding these in the past, for some reason, but will definitely check out the display if I find one.
Very very pretty. I’ve been eying those lacquer for a while. You saying they’re uneven doesn’t sit to well with me. Especially if you’re messy like myself.

The white one looks like it would be a good *underwear* white. Nice that it’s a fast dry formula.
The 12 year old inside giggled at Yellow Whiz.
I think these are great shades for stamping and underwear.

2 coat yellow and white? Yes, please! I could never do just one coat anyway because of the awful ridges in my nails :/. Beautiful swatched as always!
The only quick dry polish I have used that is a one-coater is Revlon Top Speed “Royal” – and only if I was very very careful!
The white looks so clean and crisp!

I really want to pick up Hot Pink Frenzy. I think I saw it in store the other day and it was just mesmerizing and I usually don’t go for hot pinks.
