Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color for Spring 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review
Wet n Wild is making me super happy this spring by adding six new bright colors to their MegaLast Lip Color line. And I think some of you are going to love these shades as much as I did.
These lipsticks are in a semi-matte finish and are long-wearing, fairly creamy and quite saturated. They’re infused with coenzyme Q10 and vitamins A and E for added moisture.
You may remember my megapost from last year that featured the rest of the line. You won’t find any dupes here! Bright and perfect for spring and summer!

Don’t Blink Pink is a medium warm pink.
Pinkerbell is a light warm coral/pink shade.
Dollhouse is a very cool and bright pale blue-based pink.
24 Carrot Gold is a medium orange/coral shade.
Purty Persimmon is a deep orange/red.
Cherry Picking is a deep raspberry/red color.

The texture of these is interesting. I first tried one of them over a lip primer and it was really hard to get on my lips for some reason! I took the primer off and then they felt normal. They are really saturated colors and feel pretty good on the lips. They are a semi-matte, so they do have a little sheen to them, which I think makes them look and feel better on the lips. They last a good 4 hours without needing any touch ups.
I really love all these shades and will definitely be wearing them. My favorite ones are Don’t Blink Pink, Pinkerbell and 24 Carrot Gold. I think Dollhouse Pink is one of those hard to pull off pinks because it’s SO cool and will look strange on some skin tones. It was amazingly un-chalky though for a shade like that.

Don’t Blink Pill and Pinkerbell look like shades that I would want to try because they remind me of spring and summer.

Oh wow! And at WNW prices we can have them all. I have been waiting for them to update their lip colors and formulas and it seems that they did!

Soooo pretty and sooooo pigmented for a drugstore stick! I have mad love for Don’t Blink Pink and am also quite fond of Cherry Picking & 24 Carrot Gold.
Cherry Picking and Don’t Blink Pink are winners for me. If you say they last for up to 4 hours, that’s really good. I like the good pigmentation these show on you.
And, just asking, how do you get your lipsticks on so perfect!!!

Not the sturdiest lipstick tubes on earth, but they don’t feel too cheap either. Not flimsy. The lids fits nicely and stays shut. No issues twisting the lipstick up or having them break.
I want them all!
Love the two orange ones. I’ll have to keep my eye out for them!

I have the Purty Persimmon! I love the color but it feels really drying on my lips. I have to wear it with a ton of lip balm, but I guess you can’t expect too much when it’s seriously $1.99!!

Nice swatches! I had heard that Don’t Blink Pink is a dupe for MAC’s Pink Pigeon, which I just bought and LOVE, but I can see here that it’s not. Quite a lovely color in any case! But Pinkerbell and Dollhouse Pink are really calling my name. I love how WnW is able to offer such nice lippies at an affordable price.
They all look amazing. For the reasonable price I can have them all! Cherry Picking looks fantastic and juicy!

I have 3 of the colors mentioned. I thought there were only 4 new colors but I’m glad to see it is 6. 24 karat gold looks really nice.

How would you say Persimmon (I can’t bring myself to type “purty” seriously) compares to Coral-ine? I saw the former in store yesterday and put it back because it reminded me too much of the latter, which I already own.
I’m still hunting for 24 Carrot, though – two stores so far, no dice!

Coral-ine is more of a red/orange/pink shade. Purty Persimmon is a lot more orange. They are definitely pretty different.
I really want to thank you for all the lip swatches you do Kelly! Arm swatches are great and all but since I normally don’t wear lippies on my arms it’s harder to tell how the shade will translate on the lips. Although I am slightly darker (MAC NC 25-30) I find your lip swatches invaluable! Many thanks =)
