Wet n Wild Ultimate Minerals Bronzer in Ginger Glow Swatches & Review

Just in time for the warmer months, Wet n Wild brings us a new shade of their Ultimate Minerals Bronzer: Ginger Glow.
This is a mineral-based bronzer that is build-able and light. It contains shimmery bits (not glitter) in it that give you a really nice sheen.
Great payoff and a really nice container, if I do say so myself.

First thing is the main outer lid. The lid has a little “stopper” of sorts in it so when you screw it back onto the jar, you feel it lock into place. When you do take it off you see what at first looks like one of those stickers to remove so you can get the product out through the holes. But actually you don’t remove that. You open that plastic inner lid.

Once opened, then you get the product to come out through the holes. Mine looks a little messy because I shook it to get it out for photos. It does stay in there pretty nicely. So basically you have this tight fitting inner lid and a nice click-in-place outer lid to keep the product from spilling out if you take it with you. Nice touch!

Ginger Glow
Ginger Glow is a medium bronze/orange with lighter shimmer particles. Not too warm, not cool, not too dark, not too light. For me anyway. This is a great color for me because it doesn’t look muddy (which a lot of bronzers can on me, especially those without shimmer) and it’s a really pretty, glow-y shade.
A little goes a long way and it’s soft and super easy to blend.
Availability: Drugstores.
Pricing: $3.99 for 0.17 oz.
Is this a bronzer you might use this summer? Which are your favorites?

looks gorgeous
Aargh, I’m going to complain (again) about not getting Wet n’ Wild in Belgium, because for the price this looks like a VERY decent product!
My summer bronzer is Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Bali Brown, but it’s too dark for me at the moment, so I’m sticking to Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer for the time being
How do you use bronzer, Kelly? Do you use it regularly? Just for contouring or all over?

Hi Sunny,
I very very rarely use it because I’m lazy, haha. But when I do I use it like I would a highlight shade. On my temples, cheekbones, nose and chin.
Thanks Kelly! I mostly use a matte one to contour in winter, but I might do a bit more when it gets nice and sunny here

The inner lid was a really smart move!
I love Wet n Wild bronzers. Hopefully, I’ll love this one.

Maaaaaan I spent years trying to find the pcfeert bronzer. I really like the gels, they’re really translucent but it dries really fast so if you don’t blend quickly it’ll look like war paint. Bobbi Brown bronzing gel and (oddly enough) Bonne Bell gel bronzer ended up being my favorites. Rimmel London Natural Bronzer is a powder that I really like too, it’s not heavy and doesn’t make me look like King Midas (which most bronzers I’ve tried do).
Some of my favorite bronzers come from the Too Faced line. I probably would wear the Wet N Wild one to the beach since it looks like it has a lot of gold flecks and I LOVE a warm complexion on a nice and sunny day!

Nice! I like the packaging, and love the price point. I might be picking this up.

I’ll probably give it a try just because I’ve never used one before. I don’t usually use bronzers because I’m very fair and I have a “tone adjusting” thing I usually add to my foundation in the summer.

This is a great price plus looks wonderful. If I didn’t have about 4 bronzers I’d buy this. It’s not to dark or sparkly. Really a pretty shade. Plus that’s a great plastic inside lid.
I use bronzers all year round so whatever I’m using now I’ll be using in July. My favorite one right now is The Balm Bahama Mama. It’s like the perfect brown shade…not too orange or red. Plus it’s matte so it’s also a good contouring shade.
I’m very interested in bronzers. (I have a bunch in my collection, but oddly, I haven’t tried any yet.) This one’s pretty, but I’m a little concerned about the shimmer making me look shiny.
