Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Ultra-Smoothing Blush Swatches, Photos & Review

Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Ultra-Smoothing Blushes are a new product just in time for spring!
They claim to be infused with 100% Pure Cashmere Extract (whatever that is) for extra softness, Sodium Hyaluronate for smoothing and moisturizing and soft-focus pearl to diffuse and soften fine lines.
It all sounds very fancy but the bottom line is, these are great blushes!

First thing we need to discuss is how cute the packaging is. Physicians Formula is really stepping up their game in recent years with these amazingly cool patterned products. I usually cannot resist them because I want to take photos of them! Is that backwards or what?
The outside of it is a soft brown suede-like material with a cute little “rope” pull to open it. Inside you find the blush that is stamped with various patterned design and colors. Each one has two colors that mix together.
Flip the blush over and you will see a little applicator brush and mirror inside. You open this the same way as the front, but there is no pull here.

Natural

Natural

Light peach, dark peach, blended together
Natural is a peachy/pink blush. It features a light peach color with a darker “rope” of more shimmery peach. Together they blend nicely to create a light peachy flush. Not overly shimmery or glittery at all and nicely pigmented.

Rose

Rose

Dark pink, light pink, blended together
Rose features mostly a rose pink with a lighter shimmery pink “rope” in it. The dark pink shade is a very vivid and bright pink. The lighter pink is pale and more of a ballet pink. Together they make a very flattering rosy pink color that isn’t too bright or crazy. A great flushed cheek color.
Overall:
I like these both and will definitely be adding them to my ever-growing blush wardrobe. I think the packaging and pattern is super pretty, but also the actual blushes are soft, pigmented and quite nice. They have a nice pearly finish without being overly shimmery.
Availability: Rite Aid, Physicians Formula.
Pricing: $12.95 for 0.24 oz. (when I got mine last week there was a $3.00 off each redeemable at checkout).
Have you tried these yet? Which one would you pick up?

Packaging is super-cute! I have their Happy Booster ones in Natural and Rose, so I feel like these are probably similar (or the same) in color. However, I do use those two nearly exclusively!
The packaging and colors are SOOOOO cute! Drugstore brands are really upping their game!

Adorable packaging. Let’s hear it for the drugstore brands! I’m going to try to find these next week when I head to the (real) city. A three hour drive.
I love the Happy Booster Blush and I know I would love this one too! I just treated myself to Chanel blush, the new one from the Spring 2012 collection. Blush de Horizons or something like that! But if I need another for my purse or gym bag I may purchased this
I haven’t really tried any PF products, but these look great. I have come to really love ds products, but I do think that $12.50 seems a little overpriced for a ds blush…
These patterned blushes are killing me! So beautiful. Just like the Milani roses compacts.
I have been expanding my blush horizon lately; I used to have my every day blush (MAC Dainty, if you’re curious), but I recently picked up MAC Fresh Honey and the Tarina Tarantino blush palette you reviewed awhile back and love it. I’m eyeing the “Rose” blush you swatched above- I don’t have anything like it.
Thank you for swatching these for us!

Being a knitter I love anything that has anything knit to do with it. The “rope” as you called it is a cable.
they dont seel this brand over here I liked the rose very much hope I can get my hand on one of this rose blushes someday
These look so cute! Do you find that all PF blushes are the same two colors?
Hi elizabeth,
They do frequently seem to be pink or coral/peach-y shades, but I don’t think they are all the same.
These look lovely! Physicians Formula has really been stepping their game up, I want to buy allll their new stuff (but of course I can’t).

I love both of them…I’m curious as to where the product is made? Is it Italy?
Thanks!
Hi Kristina,
I don’t have the packaging with me (I’m at work) but almost positive they are made in the US.
LOVE! Physician’s formula always has the nicest of packaging and all

I find that to be a very pretty. I assume the cashmere extract makes it to be very smooth and silky.

These are gorgeous! Natural is a color like no other I own- that might have to come live with me.
If I could only get over my love affair with the Tarte clay blushes…
Physicians Formula sure is less expensive!
But what on earth is “Cashmere Extract?”
I hope they’re not squeezing any goats…
Hi ReaderRita,
LOL I hope not either! :/
Gosh the packaging is so cute! I’d want to try the Natural one for sure.

Never used anything by this brand. They are adorable. Pretty shades.
I agree that PF has moved away from their former, clinical look to a more attractive, feminine feel. That tassel synches the deal for me!
The Rose shade looks like one that would work for me. I like a bit of pink but not so much I look like a dolly.
