Zoya Neeka vs. Lotus.
You know, I wasn’t going to do a post on these because I didn’t think there would be a need. But then I kept seeing people asking what the differences were between them so I thought it would be helpful in the end. 
Both Zoya, both purple but the similarities pretty much end there.

So yes, obviously they are both in the purple family. And might I add, if you love purples I think you need them both. 
Neeka which came out in the Mirrors collection in the fall is a deep slightly muted royal purple with heavy gold irregular shaped shimmer.
Lotus, which is coming out in their spring collection called True, is a medium very greyed out dusty purple/lavender with understated pink shimmer. By understated I mean it kind sits in the background of the polish, whereas the gold shimmer in Neeka is more in the forefront and more obvious.

You can definitely see the color, depth and shimmer differences here. Neeka is a more “in your face” shimmer and Lotus has a nice deep glowing shimmer look.
Another difference is Neeka is really creamy and rich and only needs two coats. Lotus is more sheer, and watery and you need three coats for total coverage.
Verdict:
For me these are definitely not alike and both worthy of owning.
Winner:
Hmmm, it’s hard but Neeka wins for me by a small margin because I love the purple and gold combo.

I love the sort of softness of Lotus. It sort of glows. The red/pink shimmer seems to lighten the color. I really like it and will def buy it. Plan to order spring collection for my birthday next week. A sort of Happy Birthday to me!
Neeka reminds me of a starry night sky, but Lotus looks so serene and soft. I do see a major similarity in their muted purpley-ness, but even though they’re otherwise totally different I can’t decide which one I want more… both are on my wishlist now, at any rate.
I just got Neeka as one of my “two free Zoya polishes” deal! I’m also a crazy fan of purple, though I do have reservations about whether Neeka would work for my super warm undertone, I thought I had to give it a try! And who knows, if it works well Lotus might eventually find its way into my collection…

I own Neeka but I love the contrast between the pink and purple in Lotus that I’m considering getting it now! I love how warm Lotus looks as compared to Neeka.

Those are both so pretty! I’m not big into purples, but I think I really need Lotus! That pink shimmer is just so prettttty.

You totally read my mind about doing a comparison of Lotus with Neeka! When I saw the new collection I was thinking that Lotus was way too similar to Neeka (which I already own). Great swatches and pics

I have Neeka and love it! Although Lotus isn’t a spot-on dupe, for me it’s not worth the $8 to buy something that looks (to me, at least) very similar to a color I already own.

I have Neeka as I ordered the entire Mirrors collection (major LUV). Thanks for doing this comparison. For me, I am with you – I will get the lighter/softer purple in Lotus. Actually I think Lotus for me will be a lot more wearable. Neeka, while pretty, is one of those unless I am in good light is dark and does not show up with what all it has in it – turns too deep and folks think it’s a dark black/purple or even black (unless they saw me in plain black – I look horrible in plain black).
I just ordered neeka during the zoya promotion after seeing ur pic on twitter- it’s soooo pretty! Is the base color for lotus similar to revlon’s perplex at all? I love my purples!
I also have Neeka. But as you say if your a purple lover, you need both. I’m a purple lover. Neeka is the standout to me. Great photos & comparisons.
I already have neeka but I think I’m liking lotus better – was going to pick up the whole true collection anyways!

Awesome comparison! I was wondering how they compared. Both are so beautiful. I ordered Lotus (along with Skylar and Tru) during the promo (Kissy and Twila were my freebies). I need Neeka, especially after seeing this comparison. Soooooo pretty. I love purples and I love purple/gold combinations.
