Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette Swatches & Review

Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette Swatches & Review

Holy pigmentation Batman!

Let me rewind.

Tarina Tarantino has some really gorgeous looking Dollskin Cheek blushes out. I was innocently perusing Sephora’s website adding three of THESE to my cart when I realized that I should just try her Dollskin Cheek Palette and get the colors I really wanted in one place. Duh!

This palette comes with the shades Candy Cameo, Feather, Carved Rose and Parasol. All of these except Candy Cameo are available in a full size as well. The full size is 0.2 oz and the colors each in the palette are 0.12 oz.

Once thing I liked about it right off the bat it it was dressed up so nicely! I kept unwrapping pretty packaging to get to the palette, which was kind of fun.

Feather, Parasol, Carved Rose, Candy Cameo

And this is where the intro to this post is more appropriate. Holy pigmentation Batman!

Feather is a medium shimmery peach shade.

Parasol is a medium shimmery coral/pink shade.

Carved Rose is a medium rose pink shade.

Candy Cameo is a super shimmery light candy pink shade.

I am so impressed with both the pigmentation, texture and actual colors. You barely need to dip a brush or finger in these to get massive payoff. They are soft and feel great. I have worn both Feather and Carved Rose so far and they last allllll day.

This is the kind of blush palette that is total perfection for traveling for me because these are the kind of colors I wear 99% of the time. I love that I could take one palette and be totally covered with amazing, yet different blushes for a trip.

Availability: Sephora.

Pricing: $45.00 and WELL worth it in my opinion.

Inquiring minds wanna know…do you love it?

  • Gorgeous colours! I think the first two would be most flattering with my skin tone, so that alone makes up for the outrageous prices I have paid for the “perfect” blush. I love the packaging too!

Aren’t they amazing? I am kind of in love with them :)

I’m definitely buying this palette! It may be better than the Nars blush palette in my opinion!

    • Hi kathleen c.,

I don’t have that one but I can’t imagine a blush palette I would like more. These are *my* colors!

So pretty! I love the colour selection. I don’t think we can get this brand in the UK, though

    • Hi Dawn,

Booo. I do think she’s only sold at Sephora. They need to start shipping to the UK!

  • Oh my God this is like my blush dream-come-true! I like how there is one matte shade inside, because I don’t ALWAYS want shimmer in my blush. Highly possibly MUCH better than NARS Danmari in my humble opinion. I swatched that at Sephora and basically ran away screaming “GLITTERBOMB!!!”

    • Hi Sunny,

That’s what someone else said also about the NARS one. It’s just perfection to me. :)

  • I absolutely looooove this blush palette and snapped it up as soon as it was restocked at Sephora. While I already own Feather I didn’t even feel it was a waste of money as I am about halfway through what I already have (quite a feat as I own so much blush I don’t ever expect to hit pan on any of ‘em) and I love the other colors. All I need to do is grab my MAC Pressed Amber neutral blush and like you, I am ready for travel with minimal bulk!

  • I have this too & I love it!
I just wish they didn’t say it was a $100 value on Sephora though because they’re only half the size so when you calculate it out, it’s only a $50 value, so we basically save $5 on this palette instead of $55. My other complaint about this palette is that the black part of the palette is really cheaply made. The black plastic on the inside is sticking out on my palette & I see the pans itself & I dislike how it’s so fingerprint prone. Other than that, I love the colors and pigmentation since I am addicted to blushes!

    • & maybe I should exchange it, but the store where I purchased this, Sephora at Stonestown, some associates are always so annoying with returns and exchanges! It is funny how I went to that Sephora to get the NARS Danmari & then this two months after :P

What a pretty palette! The colors aren’t quite right for me, though I do have one of the blush singles (in Neapolitan Lane) and LOVE it. Great texture, great pigmentation, perfect light-contouring color for fair pinkish skin.

  • So pretty, those colors are right up my alley! Love the sleek metal case too. Off to the Sephora website to check it out now.

    • Hi Kimberly,

Works fine, they aren’t so small that it’s hard to get any, and I don’t use HUGE blush brushes. Right now I’m using the one from Real Techniques a lot and it has a smaller domed shape on the tip.

I have been drooling over this palette since it was OOS and of course now it’s in stock and I am on a budget. I may have to donate my monthly “fun” money to this though. So perfect for travel and everyday, her blushes are gorgeous, I wanted this over the Nars palette.

  • Oh, these are _so_ my kind of colors!! I’m a bit relieved that they sell only in the US because I don’t have that much money atm and if it were availiable, I HAD to have it!!
