Stila Nordstrom Rack Exclusive Travel Palettes! Swatches, Photos & Review

Guess what? Nordstrom Rack has makeup! I never knew this because I don’t have one that close to me, but I am happy to hear this.
Some of the items exclusive to Nordstrom Rack are three Stila Travel Palettes in: Ravishing on Rodeo Drive, Fashionable on 5th Avenue and Majestic on Michigan Avenue.
As you know, I have a “thing” for collecting these cute little beauty books, and I’m pleased to add these ones to my collection.
I think the artwork on the front is what always grabs me and these are all super cute because the women are all carrying Nordstrom Rack bags.

Ravishing on Rodeo Drive

Ravishing on Rodeo Drive

Ravishing on Rodeo Drive

Elegant, Grand, Posh, Lavish, Opulent
The colors in the Ravishing on Rodeo Drive palette learn towards the warm side, but not overly warm. I’m loving the way Posh mixes in with the warmer eye shadow colors. Opulent is a nice, yet sheer, Convertible Color (which means blush and/or lip gloss) in a peachy shade.
These shadows were really soft and really nicely pigmented.

Majestic on Michigan Avenue

Majestic on Michigan Avenue

Majestic on Michigan Avenue

Windy, Midway, Pier, Skyline, Magnificent
Majestic on Michigan Avenue is a warm palette featuring a pale pink, light coppery/red, bronze, brown and Convertible Color in Magnificent which is a reddish/orange shade.
The shadows here were all fairly pigmented except Skyline which is a matte and a little patchy. Magnificent is very rich!

Fashionable on 5th Avenue

Fashionable on 5th Avenue

Fashionable on 5th Avenue

Couture, Ritzy, Midtown, Boutique, Splendor
Fashionable on 5th Avenue features mostly cooler colors. These colors are lighter and more sheer than some of the others with the exception of Boutique.
The Convertible Color in Splendor is AMAZING though. I love this pigmented creamy pink.
Availability: Nordstrom Rack (not online).
Pricing: $10.00 each.
What do you think? Any of these look tempting to you?
-Kelly

I got all 3 of these on Saturday. Too cute!

The colors in the Ravishing On Rodeo Drive palette look EXACTLY like the ones from the Make an Impression in Moscow one! That’s so strange.
I thought the same thing. I only know that because that is the only one I own!
Fashionable on 5th Avenue and Majestic on Michigan Avenue are almost the same as the 1st released travel palettes in Road to Radiance (US) and Pretty in Paris. I am so disappointed about that!
my thoughts exactly…they are so similar in fact, that the first thought that came to mind was “repackage & reissue”…I hate it when companies do that :-p
i think i’ll be skipping these! i’m one for pink but these aren’t exciting me. i know they look different, but i would’ve appreciated a different color selection as opposed to all the pink haha

I’m with you – these appeal to me because they look like books! I bet they’d look so sweet all lined up on a little shelf.
The colours are pretty, but I can’t see myself hunting these down only because I have too many eye shadows, and I got to the point where I’m just trying to use what I have instead of buying more.

Those Stila travel palettes are all so cute, but I can never bring myself to buy them because there are so so many pink eyeshadows in all of them. Gr.

Oh wow! I love these and I love that they put in convertible colors instead of straight up blush!!!! Maybe they will show up at Sephora or Ulta too! (fingers x’d)
Ok I just reread the review and see they are exclusive…maybe when they make some new books that show up at Sephora they will have the convertible colors in them! LOL
I think these are cute and of pretty good value, but I feel that I already own too many colors in the same color families, so I don’t really need any of them!

I think I might just get these for the convertible color
. I like the last pink and orange/red blush color. I find I might have more use of the colors on the michigan palette though. But that pink blush is really pretty!

Gina – the colours in Fashionable on 5th Avenue look a lot like the Road to Radiance Across the USA colours, too.
The palettes are so lovely, though, and so good for travelling with!
I’ll be looking for Majestic on Madison!

the ravishing on rodeo drive palette is exactly like the old make an impression in moscow palette!!! re-promotes!!
These are three of the original travel palettes in different packaging. Rodeo=Moscow, Michigan=Paris and 5th Ave=USA.
yep, hate it when companies do that…at least they kept the original price ($10) vs the price of their new travel palettes ($14)…but I think it’s totally deceptive to repackage a product, and to add to the insult, call it exclusive. Who would’ve thought, hand-me-downs at Nordstroms
I have been trying to resist these and you are making it very difficult!!
I am always looking at these, at Ulta, at Beauty Brands– but don’t buy them because they are made in China. Trying to buy American to help our economy.

I love how Stila is always adorably packaged and super femme palette colors. I need to branch out and try something new. (like this) Thanks for the post!

I have the Moscow palette and I gave my sister the Paris one from a few years ago and I swear the Michigan Ave and Rodeo Drive are the same palettes as those, just repackaged.
These are adorable for the sake of collecting and looking cute but otherwise these are probably not for me. Great photos as always

I agree with other commenters – the Rodeo Drive one is exactly the same as the Moscow palette, which I have and love. Also, the shadows on Majestic on Michigan look similar to the ones for the Stila Loves BP Nordstrom exclusive I just got. It’s hard to tell because colors online look different, but if they’re not the same, they’re so close it’s not worth getting both.

I feel like I have to get the Michigan Ave. one simply because I live in Chicago
Otherwise I love the color combination from the Rodeo Dr. one but I bet I have similar colors already :/

I love checking out the makeup at Nordstrom Rack! We have a great one in NYC in Union Square and they regularly have OPI and Savina nail polishes. WIN!
